baraag under max load, needs upgrade

DESCRIPTION

Earlier today, I noticed baraag being extremely slow to load pages. At first I suspected a possible ddos attack but upon closer inspection it appears that baraag is experiencing a spike in legitimate traffic. All the VPS slices in charge of serving the web to baraag users were under max load and they were struggling to keep up, causing a slowdown in page loading.

The only way I could make baraag usable was to go into cloudflare settings and activate a security setting that greatly cuts down on the load for the servers to breathe again, but it came at a cost. For those of you that browse baraag using an app, you may have already noticed that apps no longer work. Another side effect is that federation is broken, so baraag is essentially silo'd away from all other instances being able to communicate with us.

This is all temporary until I have another VPS deployed to raise the load ceiling, which shouldn't take longer than 1-2 days from the time of this post. The new VPS has already been ordered and should be added to the existing network of VPSes that runs baraag (for a total of 6 VPS slices) by the end of this week. Unfortunatey this will also increase my monthly cost by another $60 but l am grateful for all the support I receive to hopefully cover it going forward.
