Degrees of Lewdity version 0.5.6.10

DESCRIPTION

This update lets you talk with Gwylan about unlocked special clothes, like antiques with Winter. It also includes consequences for one of the skyscraper outcomes, improves hypnosis, and adds more brown fox, as well as other story content.

The forest shop has been a fixture of the town since version 0.2, where it arrived alongside the clothing overhaul. I remember being very tired when I added the introduction scene, and was soon distracted by an avalanche of bugs. It's since felt like it needed a more thorough weaving into the game. This update makes it akin to the museum, in that it helps shed light on the happenings in and around town, past and present. Gwylan is one of the town's more mysterious residents, and I hope their unique and cheerful perspective on things is a good counterpart to Winter's dryness.

A lot of the content this update was planned to debut alongside Avery's mansion, but it's easily hearty enough to deserve its own. PurityGuy has been working hard on this since January. The changelog belies just how much new content there is, but I'll say no more.

On another topic, in April I shared a player survey, to gauge how the community feels about various aspects of the game. Thanks to everyone who responded, and to Crimson Tide for setting it up. You can find the results here.

There's a lot of interesting information there, but a few things stand out to me. Gwylan and Quinn rank as the least well-implemented. Hopefully the Quinn additions last update, and the forest shop additions this update, help a little. Bailey is considered the best implemented named NPC, and also the one who people think needs the most work. For the different areas in the game, the orphanage ranks as the most need of work. Given how tied together Bailey and the orphanage are, and how central they are to the game, perhaps I should prioritise them soon.
