I receive a fair amount of requests because of my profession, but now I basically do not accept requests for free. The reason is that if it were free, other people would want to submit requests. Whether my work is worth paying for or not is irrelevant, and I believe that receiving money is beneficial to all my comrades who are looking forward to my work. Even those who are not interested in the request will be able to continue working on the piece if I receive the money.
You may think that I just want the money, but clearly there is no financial benefit to me because I cannot ask for a price that would make me a profit for taking the time to respond to a special request.
When you make a request to me, please talk about money from the beginning because it is not worth my time.
It is difficult to say that it will cost money when no money has been discussed, so I refuse.
Even if he/she is willing to pay for it, of course, such a thing does not come across to me. I think this is true for most other artists as well.
We are happy to receive requests, but we can't give special treatment to only those who wish to receive such requests.
It would be nice if a function like crowdfunding could be easily used in FANBOX, but we have to wait and see.
私は職業柄それなりに要望を頂きますが、現在は基本的に無料で引き受けることはありません。理由は無料ならほかの人達も要望を出したいに決まっているからです。私の作品にお金を払う価値があるかどうかは関係無く、お金を頂くことで、私の作品を楽しみにしている全ての同志にメリットがあると考えています。その要望に興味が無い人でも、私にお金が入れば作品の制作を続けやすくなるからです。
ただお金が欲しいだけと思うかもしれませんが、特別な要望に対応する時間を割いてまで儲かるような価格要求は出来ないので、ハッキリいって金銭的にメリットはありません。
時間が勿体ないので要望を出すのであれば最初からお金の話をして下さい。お金の話も出ていないのにこちら側からお金がかかります、とは言いづらいので断ることになります。本人が当然お金は払うつもりだとしてもそんなことは私には伝わりません。これは他の殆どのアーティストにも言えることだ思います。要望してくれること自体は嬉しい、でもその要望を望む人達だけ特別扱いは出来ない、というのが本音です。
クラウドファンディングのような機能がFANBOXで気軽に使えたらいいのですが、期待して待つしかないですね。
