DESCRIPTION
The war with the aliens caused massive losses, so they secretly collected intact corpses for research, aiming to reanimate them as undead soldiers. Scientists used electricity to stimulate the bodies, making them move while collecting data.
Once the experiments concluded, the corpses were used for the researchers' R&R before being disposed of by incineration. Progress was slow, and they still needed many more bodies for testing.
