Another week, another report!

This week, a ton of sketches from the very talented Vaabs (or DipDork)! Make sure to check them out!

These sketches are all going to be used for different in-game diaper packages. The goal was to have each element separately (logo, character, and diaper) so I can composite them all together for the final picture.

On the game engine front, it was time to go back to the evening segments. I still want to make those segments "automated" in a way that allows for a lot of room for special events.

Sometimes, it means I have to rework the structure of the tree of possibilities I have so far, so it can take a bit of time to rearrange all this stuff and test it out.

I spent a lot of time today working on a series of vignettes that will happen depending on the day during dinner. The idea is to have a short scene each dinner if no particular event happens that evening. (Screenshot 1)

This batch will work for Reset 0 to 1. There were 12 vignettes in total, so it was a bit long to playtest them all. It's a kind of "invisible" work, since you will only see one of the 12 in the next update, but they are here, waiting to be discovered.

It's mostly funny little exchanges between characters. We can learn, among other things, that Maddie is a sushi aficionado, or witness debates about which dinosaur-shaped nugget works better with which dipping sauce. (Screenshots 2 and 3)

And finally, I worked on a new dinner scene if June has reached Reset 1. This one is a lot longer and will feature different dialogues depending on Maddie and June's relationship. Once again, it's a bit of invisible work since the relationship can't evolve beyond level 1 at this point.

And that's about it! This Reset 1 dinner scene still needs to be finished, but that will be for later!
