Chapter 5 Opens on Lily and her friends at lunch in the school cafeteria. Lily is sitting next to Andrea while Nicole and Emma are across from them. Naomi comes into frame with a tray and sits down. Naomi “Hey, we should have a sleepover!” Nicole “Oooh, I’d love that!” Andrea “Yeah, that sounds fun.” Emma “I’ve… never slept over before… where should we have it?” Naomi “Why not at your house?” Emma “No, it’s too small to fit us all hehe…” Lily “Hey, let’s do it at my place for my birthday!” The girls are silent for a moment before bursting out birthday wishes. Andrea “Happy birthday!” Naomi “OMG Happy b-day!” Emma “Happy birthday, Lily!” Nicole “Happy birthday, Girly!” Lily becomes overwhelmed. Lily “Guys, please stop! Hehehe, my birthday is next week!” Andrea “Oh thank god…” Lily “It’s okay. Let’s do it… Friday night!” Andrea “Yea!” Naomi “Yay!” Emma “Can’t wait!” Nicole “I’ll be there! [After school] Danny picks up Lily from school. Lily gets in the front seat and buckles up. Lily “Hey, Daddy!” Danny “Hey… Hun… How was school?” Lily “Same boringness! …Well… my birthday is coming up…” Danny “Really? When? I wish you told me sooner, heheh.” Lily “The fourteenth… and I kinda offered to have a sleepover at the house this weekend.” Danny “Ooh, Lily. What am I gonna do with you?” Lily says cheekily “Looove me?” Danny “Well, I guess.” Lily “Hehehe” Lily kisses Danny on the cheek. Friday night 5pm The apartment is set up for the party; cake, ice cream, and balloons. The girls arrive with their parent(s) and they chat with Danny while the kids talk and play. The adults start talking. Naomi mom “Wow, you’re in college too? How do you even juggle having a kid and a job?” Emma dad “Yea, heheh. Being a single father is hard enough!” Danny “Heheh, I surprise myself sometimes. I read lots of parenting and life management books. So that helps.” Nicole mom “Oh, don’t say that in front of my husband. He’d be hella jealous!” The group laughs. Andrea mom “Gosh, you look so young too! How old are you?” Naomi mom “Oh, stop it! You’re just jealous too hehe!” Shot of Naomi looking towards the group of adults, diverging from the girl’s conversation. Nicole mom “I better get going, finally have a date night!” Andrea mom “Oooh fun! I’ll get going too. Danny, right?” Danny “Yup…” Andrea mom “If you ever need anything, just ask.” Danny “T-thanks, I’ll keep you in mind.” The rest of the girl’s parents leave. Montage: The girls play Rainbow Karts (Andrea watches) Emma “An, you wanna play?” Andrea “Uhm-” Nicole says smugly “Nah, she’s too afraid she’s gonna lose.” Andrea “Oh yea?” They play another round and Andrea loses dramatically. Andrea “I… I can’t believe it…” Lily comforts her. The girls have pizza for dinner, then have cake and ice cream. Lily opens her presents from the girls. They watch a movie and play. Danny comes out of his room. Danny “Hey, girls. I want you to take a bath before going to bed, ‘kay?” The girls agree. They start rushing to the bathroom, planning to go two at a time. Lily “I’ll go in with Andrea first!” Andrea “F-fine…” All the girls start undressing, except for Emma. Emma “C-can I go by myself?” Naomi “C’mon! It'll be really fun! Plus… we get to see everyone naked! Hehe!” The rest of the girls giggle. Emma breaths calmly. Emma “O-okay…” She hesitantly removes her shirt but covers her chest. By now, most of the girls are mostly nude. Naomi “Gosh, I want my boobs to grow in!” Nicole “Speak for yourself, mine won’t stop growing.” Lily “don’t worry, they’ll grow soon and be as big as mine!” Lily shows her small chest to the group of girls, making them giggle. Andrea “Emma, Hun. It’s okay to undress. We’re all girls afterall.” Emma “No thanks. This is enough for me.” Naomi kneels down to Emma and grabs the hem of her shorts. Naomi “Don't worry, I’ll do it for ya!” Andrea “Naomi, wait-!” Suddenly, Naomi yanks Emma’s shorts down, revealing she has a penis. The rest of the girls are in shock. Cut to Danny's room, where he hears a loud shriek from the bathroom. Danny “They sure are loud…” Cut back to the bathroom. Lily is in full shock, covering her mouth. Andrea is holding her head in her hands “Oh geez…” Nicole “Sh-she has a…” Naomi “You’re a boy!?” Emma turns away, holding her self “I’m not a boy! At least… not anymore…” Naomi “What do ya mean?” Andrea comes over and whispers into Naomi’s ear. Naomi “You’re… Em, I’m so sorry…” Emma “I-it’s okay… I just… wanna be like you guys. I just wanna be a normal girl…” Nicole comes over to comfort her. “You are a normal girl, Emma. No matter what you have or don’t have.” Lily “Yea, we love you for who you are!” Naomi “We’re here for ya, Girly!” Andrea “We promise we won’t tell anyone.” They all hug Emma from behind. Emma “Heheh, alright alright. T-thanks you guys…” Nicole “Alright, let’s get in the bath! All together!” Nicole runs over to the bathtub off screen. Andrea “We’re not gonna all fit!” Lily runs off screen “Let’s make us fit!” Andrea and Naomi follow. Emma is hesitant for a moment before joining off screen. [Full page spread of the girls in the bathtub, giggling and having fun] The girls get ready for bed, they lay out blankets and pillows in the living room. Nicole “Guys… I have something really important to ask, and you have to be honest…” The rest of the girls pay full attention. Nicole “Who do you have a crush on?” Andrea “Oh good lord…” Lily “Well…” Emma “I actually Like Jason” Nicole “OMG he's adorbs and like super smart! I'm so into Nathan though.” Naomi “I… can't say mine…” Emma “Cmon! You can tell us” Naomi “Uhm… Danny…” Andrea “From the fifth grade class?” Naomi “N-no it's … Lily's daddy…” Nicole “He's actually pretty cute, too” Lily “Well you can't have him!” Lily covers her mouth. The girls all look at her in shock. Naomi “D-does he have a girlfriend or something?” Lily “Y-yea, and they love each other a whole lot…” Naomi “Dang, I'll just have to win him over heeheehee!” Emma and Nicole laugh with her. Lily looks even more jealous. Nicole “Andrea, you haven't gone yet” Andrea “Fine. I like Lily” Lily smiles. Naomi “Heheh, you'd make a great couple!” Andrea “Yea yea, let's talk about something else now…” Nicole “Fiiine, have you ever kissed another girl?” Naomi “Gosh I would love to!” Nicole “Andrea?” Andrea “Fine… y-yea…” Emma “Really? Who?” Andrea “Lily…” Nicole “C'mon, you can't just say ‘Lily’ for everything” Andrea then pulls Lily into a kiss, she backs out leaving Lily in shock. Naomi “Omg!” Emma “Wow… you really are besties…” Nicole “Oh, well… alright…” Naomi “I wanna try!” Emma “I'll do it with ya!” Emma and Naomi exchange a smooch then giggle about it. Nicole “Now, that's not a kiss…” Nicole scoots over to Naomi. Nicole “This is a kiss…” Nicole holds Naomi's cheek and pulls her into a kiss. They smack lips and switch sides. Nicole licks Naomi's lips and they start making out, touching tongues and trading saliva. Nicole backs out, leaving a string of saliva between them. Nicole “That… is a kiss” Emma “Holy crap!” Naomi “That… was bliss…” Andrea “Alright, let's not get carried away…” Lily “Too late! The pillow fighter has awoken!” Lily hits Andrea with her pillow. Andrea “Oh you're asking for it!” The girls begin a pillow fight. Cut to the girls in bed, lights out. All the girls are asleep, except for Lily. She gets up and goes to Danny’s room. She thanks him for setting up the party. Soon after, Naomi wakes up to go to the bathroom. She notices Lily is gone. She walks down the hall and notices the bedroom door slightly open, she peaks in and sees Lily kiss Danny on the lips and says goodnight. Naomi rushes back to the living room and pretends to be sleeping. Lily comes back and goes to bed. Naomi can’t stop thinking about what she saw. The next morning Naomi drags Andrea to the bathroom. She tells her what she saw. Andrea lies and says it’s normal, and she kisses her dad too. Naomi is relieved it wasn't anything weird. The rest of the girls wake up and get dressed. They play games, talk, and do each other's hair. Around noon the girls leave. Lily and Danny tell them goodbye. Lily is facing away from Danny, covering her face and blushing. Lily “Omigosh! That was sooooo fun!” Danny “Hey, Lily…” Lily “Like, I still can’t believe it! And I’m 10 now!” Danny “Lily…” Lily “What…?” Lily turns around to see Danny on one knee, and a ring box in his hands. He opens the box, showing Lily a diamond ring. Lily “...D-Danny…” Danny “I don’t know where our lives will take us. What challenges we’ll face, rules we have to break, they won’t matter. I know we’ll get through it ‘cause we’ll have each other. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. My Lily, my flower. My everything… Will you marry me?” Lily lets out tears of joy “Oh-yes! Yes!” Danny sweeps her into his arms, twirling her around, hugging her tightly. He sets her down and kneels down and kisses her all over. Danny takes the ring from the box and places it on Lily’s ring finger. Lily takes a look at it. “Danny… it’s gorgeous!” Danny “Not as gorgeous as you.” Lily kisses Danny. Lily “You know… you’re gonna have to make it up to me for such a long engagement to come…” Danny “How so?” Lily thinks for a moment “Start by taking me to the bedroom…”
Danny smiles “Yes, Honey.”
Danny carries Lily to the bedroom and the door closes behind them.

I hoped you enjoyed this book! It was a lot more fun to write this one! This isn't actually the end of the chapter, there's one mini part right at the end but I want to save it as a surprise!
