I am finally back working on the visual novel! Sorry for taking an extended break from it, a lot has happened IRL
This is what I have of the script that I can share, I'll be working on it for the next couple of weeks. These scripts are complex and take a while to write so bear with me lol
Day 4
I arrived at the school and made my way to the classroom to await my girls.
They came in all together, cheery as ever.
I marked attendance and began class.
Hatten: “Alright, girls. Your prompt today is to draw what you want to be when you grow up.”
The girls are much happier than yesterday.
I wrote the prompt on the board and the girls took their seats.
The girls began their drawings, I should talk to them.
Choice Lily, Emma, Nicole, Andrea, Naomi, Leave them alone for now
Choose Lily
Hatten: Hi, Lily
Lily: Hi, Mr. Hatten! Lookie!
Lily holds up her drawing to me.
Lily: I'm gonna be a vet!
Danny: That's lovely, Lily. You'll be a great vet one day.
Lily smiles

Lily returns to her drawing

Lily: I… had a kitty once, but… it ran away
Hatten: I'm sorry, Lily
Lily: …I spent everyday after school looking for her before mom got home from work.
Lily: Mom told me to stop looking for her and it wasn't doing me any good… she didn't like Dawn- that… was her name…
Hatten: I'm very sorry, Lily. Anything I can do to make it better?
Lily wipes a tear
Lily: Take me home with you, hehe
Hatten: I would if I could, Hun
Lily smiles big
Lily: T-thank you…
Lily returns to her drawing
Choose Emma
Hatten: How's it coming along, Emma?
Emma: Great! I'm gonna be a teacher when I grow up!
Hatten: That's wonderful, Emma
Emma: I… my mom was a teacher… she's not with us anymore, but I wanna live on in her memory and be just like her!
Hatten: She'd be so proud of you, Emma
Emma smile big and returns to her drawing
Choose Nicole
Hatten: Hey, Nicole!
Nicole: Hi hi! I… wanna be a singer when I grow up…
Hatten: Heheh, that fits you well. Are you a good singer?
Nicole: Mom says I am… Me and my friends had a sleepover a while back and we did karaoke… I was scared to sing in front of them but… I did really good! Hehe!
Hatten: That’s great! I bet you’re fantastic.
Nicole: Heh, I really am. Aren’t I?
Nicole returns to her drawing.
Choose Andrea
Hatten: Hey, Andrea. What do you wanna be when you grow up?
Andrea: I… don’t really know…
Hatten: How about a police officer, firefighter, or astronaut?
Andrea: Tsk! That’s kid stuff. I want a real job like… a lawyer! Yea… That’s what I wanna do!
Andrea ignores my presence and returns to her drawing.
Choose Naomi
Naomi: Hiya, Mr. Hatten!
Hatten: Hey, Hun.
If Naomi like=
Naomi smiles at me.
Naomi: O-oh, right hehe
If Naomi like= - skip
Naomi shows me her drawing.
Naomi: I want to bake like my moms and keep the family business running!
Hatten: I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure your parents would be happy to hear that too.
Naomi: Yea! I want to keep making sweet treats for my friends too!

Naomi: That… includes you… I can’t wait for you to taste what I made for you!
Hatten: I can’t wait either. I’m sure it’s going to be amazing!
Naomi smiles big and returns to her drawing.
