They are the worse. nothing new here.
Maybe because I'm already stablished in the community and have a consistent ammount of supporters it's different from me. But I haven't seen a change whatsoever in the work demand for me. And the reason is: the people (supposed potential clients or supporters) that are now using AI were never potential clients or supporters. So you, as an artist, loose nothing. If anything, it helps filter headaches. Before AIs, although still the case, hearing from fellow artists about how they never got paid, or got straight up scamed were an everyday thing. now those people have AI slop. Not deffending AI at all, i hate it as much if not more than all of you.
Picture it like this, you likely know or have heard of that one ashole that pirates a 5 usd indie game. it doesn't matter how good an offer is, they will try and get it for free, no matter what. they were never clients. So it might be hard as a newcomer, but AI is not taking over your work. it's showing the true colors of who are there to support (your) art.
Now. NOW. You know this problem where people take pics from real people, from adults and kids and do illegal shit with it? You are a piece of shit if you do that. HOWEVER, there's some resposibility from you as well. even before AIs got to this point, internet was a thing still. WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SHOWING YOUR FACE AND LIFE TO THE WORLD? why in the fuck are you posting your kids or letting your kids be visible on or even have access to the internet? you want a memory? At this point young adults might not lived this, but i got to. there was a time where you took those special pics, get them physical, put them in an physical photo album, and show them to your close ones. isn't that perfect? wasn't that the actual fucking way to live? people show and let people show every fucking part of their life to the entire world and act horrified once someone, from the entire world, decide to do nasty shit with it. using AI for that is awful, caused a lot of pain and suffering. but so do internet as is. i just don't get how this hasn't made people realize that sharing your life and your face is maybe, perhaps, an awful idea.
Some works, like being a model, requires you to show yourself, but every other job does not. just stop. why don't you stop? why you feel the need to share every aspect of your life to people you don't know? AI is awful, but mostly because it helps showing how stupid humans are.
Also, maybe it's just me but i don't buy the "nowadays it's imposible to not let kids enter the internet" shit. it's hard, i don't doubt it. but that's kindof like, called "Parenting" once you have a kid you don't get to have breaks, or vacations, your life IS your kid now. so shut the fuck up and raise your fucking kid properly. or don't have any.
