The results are in, and it was pretty expected.
Sayuri won fairly handily, with the other two getting decently close. I did mention in the poll post that I was gonna have a 'base-line' for each character, and I've settled on 3. As a result, Sayuri will get 5, and Lobelia and Fiona will get 4 each. I've already started on them, so they'll be going live hopefully on the 17th.
As for the ramblin', just gonna talk a little about some upcoming things. Mitsuru Part 2 will be later this month, and contains two separate themes. Each theme will be roughly the same length as Part 1, so it's double the fun. Won't be the last part, as I have more planned in the future, just been focusing on other things and what not. Speaking of which, next month I will be having a summer themed set. A real variety set. I haven't decided on the exact number of characters featured, nor the exact format(though it'll probably be a multi-day affair), but I've been rigging characters and planning things. I'm aiming for largely 'all-new' characters, ie, characters I haven't really done before. Though I have done a few before, they were just one-offs a long time ago. I'll show you a handful - don't want to spoil everything, and don't know if everyone will be featured, but these are some I'm "strongly considering".
The Street Fighter 6 version of Mai, for one. I was going to have her in the poll last month, but was too lazy to rig her. Then, she was gonna be in this month's poll, but I decided to swap to DOA. So then I just said 'might as well include her in a summer set' and bam. Here she is.
Then I figured I'd do some Tachy from Stellar Blade, since I did Raven last Summer. Felt apropos.
Then, if we're doing some beach and summer activities, why not bring in a mermaid? Thus, Mermaid from SMT5. Because why not. I hate myself and want to crush my balls in a vice with rigging a weird tail and suffering the consequences of failing and having to live with my mistakes and regrets when I try to animate that terrible thing.
Technically not a new character for me, but I only did them once and thus wanted to include and do something with. Been meaning to do something with Angel for a loooong time, and this felt like a good a time as any.
And a redemption arc for me. One of the handful of characters missing from my old 5th Anniversary set. Can ya believe it's been over three years? I can't.
But yeah, that's a few characters. And I have more planned, though we'll have to see how it goes. Don't want to overwhelm myself, so I'll be doing what I can, when I can. I've started on some animations already, so I'll be poking at it a bit at a time, with a release next month sometime.
