1軍にいれば県で実績のある「青陵義塾」から推薦が必ず貰えると言われている。だが、流星は現1軍にいるも成績がふるわず、常に2軍落ちの境界にいた。「推薦が貰えるまではどうしても落ちたくない…」そう願う流星に監督が突きつけた要件は無理難題な成績をあげることか、もしくは全部員帰宅後の特別な練習メニューをこなすことだった。リュウセイは悩んだ末、特別な練習メニューこなすことにした。
その日から毎日部室の扉には鍵がしまり、ソファーの上で「特別な練習メニュー」が行われていたのだった。
