What will we do starting in July?
DESCRIPTION

Hi everyone!

I hope you liked the Elise comic—it’s definitely one of my favorite comics right now, and it’s given me a reason to try out a Fire Emblem game in the future!

That comic took me the whole month to finish. I think I only had four days off, and that made me realize that, realistically, it’s impossible for me to finish comics that big in a single month. However, it’s fun to make comics like that, so I’ve been thinking of a solution that won’t affect you guys and won’t take a toll on my health.

And the solution is simply to split the comics over two months. For example, right now I have Yor’s comic pending, which is about 20 pages long. In June I’d release 10 pages and in July another 10 (since they’re rough drafts, I might add more pages—I’m not sure yet), and that way I could deliver a quality product to you without any problems. But this would only work for comics of approximately 20 pages; larger comics couldn’t be delivered in two months but would take three. For example, the Bulma comic currently has about 30 pages, so it would be split into 10 pages per month. Also, the number of pages per month is an approximation; the idea is to finish comics of approximately 20 pages in two months.

So next month, the Yor comic will be split into two parts, so I can deliver the final pages of the Uzaki comic and the first half of the Yor comic.

But what will happen in July? I’d only have the Yor comic left, and there would only be one reward?

Well, my idea is for the “comic plan” tier to also have two monthly rewards, so I want to try something.

Starting in July, you’ll have two options:

1) Make one large comic along with a new, smaller comic (about 5 pages)

2) Make two large comics.

The first option would give you the chance to see a smaller comic featuring a new character.

The second option would let you see the comics that are still pending finally come to life.

I also want to clarify that the second comic of the month wouldn’t have as many pages until the first one is finished. For example: let’s say I’m working on the 2B and Bulma comics—2B was the first one, so the 2B comic will be my priority and will have 10 pages that month, while the Bulma comic will have 5.

Once the 2B comic is finished, the Bulma comic would get more pages per month, and another comic would get only 5 pages per month.

Those would be the options; I’d like you to choose—after all, the comics are for you!

I also want to tell you that this format is a trial run, which I’ll be doing until August. If it turns out to be sustainable, then we’ll continue with that format; if not, I’ll have to think of something else.

Sorry for the long post—I wanted to keep you informed and be as detailed as possible so you’d understand my point. But if you have other ideas, please share them too—I’d love to hear from you!
