It's finally done...!!!
My Ópera prima is here...ρ(- ω -、)
Hope you enjoy it...!
Thank you very much to everyone who was patient enough to put up
with my incessant rambling all along the way...( ̄▽ ̄)👍
You all are the best...!
So yeah, the project was tough and scary, but surprisingly nothing
even close to how hard I imagined it would be: actually it was fun
from start to finish. (All major setbacks were due eiter to work or
some other unrelated issue)
The work of laying the foundation and the first few pages were the
biggest challenge, but once I started to pick up steam I was already
plowing through the pages like Niizuma Eiji.
This experience was so much fun that I am already looking forward
to the end of this year to start a new book.
I think that one of the most fundamental lessons that I learned during
this whole process was to bring things to standard. At first I was
testing a lot of manga materials, tones, fonts and even the thickness
of the line work were all over the place. Once I was done with the
main document I had to go back and correct a lot of things on the
first few pages. They all looked like pages drawn by different people,
even after all my work updating them this can still be noticed a bit.
It was around page 09 that I already had a solid system in place,
when I hit this point the rest of the work was a breeze.
Next project could definitely be a book of 16 pages or more without
any problem, but my goal is not the page count, it's the quality
on each page. So I'll leave this to my future self to decide.
So all in all, I am satisfied with the results of the project, I did
everything I set out to do, I feel like I did my best and it took
away a big itch from me.
Could the results have been better...?
Definitely...!
I am satisfied with the results but not entirely happy as my vision
and the final product are still far from being the same...┐( ̄ヘ ̄)┌
But as you already know, everything is a work in progress, I am a work in progress myself, so practice and hard work is the only way forward.
We'll see you next time...(・∀・)ノ
Let's keep working hard...!
