Hello everyone! We apologize for the wait on the Bocchi project.
Due to a couple of issues we did get delayed a bit. Some of the animators turned in work a little late. A lot of our animators have other jobs and responsibilities to work on alongside their shots so please forgive them. I also underestimated how long a couple of these shots may take which has contributed to the delay.
To give a rough idea on where things are, over half of all shots are in the compositing stage (the final stage) or are completely finished. The remaining shots are still being cleaned, but are mostly all over halfway to completion. And in terms of the 3D backgrounds, all of that is pretty much done, and the voice acting has already been recorded.
I would say, my new estimate on when things will finish would be somewhere around one full week or so from today or around that range of time. In theory I could rush to finish things sooner, but I would prefer not to have to compromise the quality of the project after already coming this far. And even if I did finish right this moment, we would still be waiting on our audio workers and editors for a couple days.
We apologize for the delay, but rest assured, we are all doing our best to get it done as soon as possible!
About the next poll:
The poll for the next project will soon come again for Ink Brush members and above. Like I mentioned before, the runner up to the previous poll will make a return, so expect to see Mahiro and Mihari again! And while the poll runs I can have a bit of a break just doing a one-off loop or so to keep content coming.
And another thing, I mentioned before our wanting to downsize projects to shorten how long they take to finish. We believe that taking on more than 2 characters at a time might be too much for what we want to achieve at the moment and so we are changing the polls to only contain 2 characters per spot. If we're able to find more help alongside any improvements financially, we may bring back larger groups of characters to the poll someday.
