I wanted to make sure I got Blacky's face right, so I drew this version first—without the mask. While working on it, I realized the mask-off version has its own charm and is actually quite cute in a different way. Out of curiosity, I ran a poll to see which version people preferred. To my surprise, the mask-off version received twice as many votes as the mask-on one!
