And so, we wrap up Arc 2!
I think this one truly covered many of my favorite elements—latex, nuns, succubi, and of course energy drains. We’ll be taking a short break from the latex nuns in the next arc, but only in the name of variety. What I have planned next is every bit as exciting.
As for the ending, I’ve noticed that many of these arcs seem to close with a comedic moment or two. It was never entirely intentional, but I’m glad it happened that way. Moments like that help the pacing, and just because these stories are erotic doesn’t mean they can’t be playful too.
The hero remaining completely oblivious to the fact that the girls are succubi is still hilarious to me.
Another thing I’ve tried to do—and I believe I’ve mentioned this before—is make sure each arc adds something to the wider world. Are there more convents like this one? Are they all run by succubi? Who are the sisters Melody and Rhyme are expecting next? And why is the hero so wonderfully oblivious?
I’m sure we’ll be exploring questions like these in the future.

Next up? Arc 3.
I’ve mentioned before that it will feel a little different from Arcs 1 and 2, and now I can finally say one reason why: The Hero of Ages will be moving into full color. I’m very excited for this next step, and I think it will bring a whole new energy to the series.

今回の章では、ラテックス、修道女、サキュバス、そしてもちろんエネルギー吸収といった、私の好きな要素をたっぷり盛り込むことができました。次の章ではラテックスの修道女は一旦お休みしますが、それはあくまでも変化をつけるためです。次の章も、同じくらいワクワクするような展開を用意しています。
エンディングについてですが、これらの章はどれも最後にちょっとしたコメディタッチのシーンで締めくくられていることに気づきました。意図したわけではないのですが、結果的にそうなって良かったと思っています。そういったシーンは物語のテンポを良くしてくれますし、エロティックな物語だからといって、遊び心があってはいけないというわけではありません。
主人公が少女たちがサキュバスであることに全く気づかないのは、私にとっては今でも最高に面白いです。
もう一つ、以前にも触れたかもしれませんが、各章が物語の世界観に何らかの要素を加えるように心がけています。このような修道院は他にもあるのでしょうか？それらはすべてサキュバスによって運営されているのでしょうか？メロディとライム姉妹の次の出産予定者は誰？そして、なぜ主人公はこんなにも鈍感なの？
きっと今後、こういった疑問を掘り下げていくことになるでしょう。
