Our first fully colored arc is officially underway.
One of my main goals with the transition to color was to create things that simply would not have been possible in black and white, or at least not with this same atmosphere and contrast. I wanted the divide between nature and the city itself to feel immediate: the wilderness vibrant and alive, while the city feels cold, grey, and rotten from within. That way, once the ero elements begin to seep into the story, the stakes and transformation feel far more impactful.
Another important part of that was making it immediately clear that the people introduced at the start are genuinely awful. Human, yes, but in many ways just as vile as some of the demonic creatures we’ve seen before, which might honestly make them even worse.
Some of you may recognize the mayor by name as well. He was previously mentioned back in Arc 1 as the man responsible for issuing the quest involving the “evil elf,” and again in Arc 2 as the ruler the knights fought for at the beginning of the story. The city itself is Olujgrad, another location that has quietly appeared in the background of the world before.
And finally, in the very last panel, we catch our first glimpse of Lili, who serves as the assistant and proprietress of her mistress, Loreline.
Next month, you’ll finally get to properly meet both Loreline and Lili in all their fully colored glory.

待望のフルカラー版第1章が正式にスタートしました。
カラー化にあたって私が最も重視したのは、白黒では到底実現できなかった、あるいは少なくとも同じ雰囲気とコントラストでは表現できなかったであろうものを創り出すことでした。自然と都市の境界線を鮮烈に描きたかったのです。荒野は活気に満ち溢れ、生命力にあふれている一方、都市は冷たく、灰色で、内側から腐敗しているように感じられる。そうすることで、エロティックな要素が物語に浸透し始めた時、その緊張感と変化がより一層強烈に感じられるでしょう。
もう一つ重要なのは、物語の冒頭に登場する人々が、紛れもなく邪悪な存在であることをすぐに明確にすることでした。人間であることは確かですが、多くの点で、これまで登場した悪魔のような存在と同等に邪悪であり、ある意味では、彼らをより一層悪質な存在にしていると言えるかもしれません。
市長の名前を覚えている方もいるかもしれません。彼は第1章で「邪悪なエルフ」に関するクエストを依頼した人物として、そして第2章では物語の冒頭で騎士たちが戦った支配者として登場しました。街の名前はオルジュグラド。これまでもこの世界の背景にひっそりと登場してきた場所です。
そして最後のコマでは、主人ロレリーヌの助手兼女将を務めるリリの姿が初めて目に飛び込んできます。
