The first character close-up of the month features Juicy and Domina.
While this version of Juicy is a little different from the one we've come to know in the rebooted The Hero of Ages, I've always loved this artist's interpretation of her. She has a slightly more impish, playful energy—almost like a younger version of the succubus we know today.
One of my favorite details has always been her boots. The upper rim looks soft and flexible while the rest hugs her legs tightly. They're small design choices, but details like that always help make an outfit feel distinctive and believable.
Domina, on the other hand, hasn't had much time in the spotlight outside of the birthday comic, which remains a great standalone. In my mind, she has always belonged to a more grounded, superhero-inspired world—a setting I'd love to explore further in the future. There's something about mixing magic with an otherwise familiar world that gives every encounter a little more weight.
She also looks fantastic here. The artist gave her a timeless elegance that always reminds me of classic comic books and animated superhero designs. Some of you may even recognize the artist from previous comics... perhaps we'll work together again someday. If we do, those comics will be a bonus alongside our regular releases.

今月の「キャラクター・クローズアップ」では、ジューシーとドミナにスポットを当てます。
リブート版『The Hero of Ages』でお馴染みのジューシーとは少し雰囲気が異なりますが、このアーティストが描く彼女の解釈が私はずっと大好きでした。どこか茶目っ気があり、遊び心に満ちたエネルギーを感じさせます。今の私たちが知るサキュバスの姿よりも、少し幼い頃の彼女といった趣がありますね。
特に気に入っているディテールの一つが、彼女のブーツです。履き口のあたりは柔らかくしなやかそうに見える一方で、それ以外の部分は脚にぴったりとフィットしています。こうした小さな工夫の積み重ねが、衣装に独特の個性と説得力を与えてくれるのです。
一方のドミナは、誕生日の記念コミック（私のお気に入りの一つでもあります）以外では、あまりスポットライトを浴びる機会がありませんでした。私の中では、彼女は常に、より現実味のあるスーパーヒーローものの世界観に属するキャラクターというイメージがあります。いつかその設定をさらに掘り下げてみたいですね。見慣れた世界に魔法の要素が混ざり合うことで、あらゆる出会いに独特の重みが生まれるような気がするのです。
今回の彼女の姿も素晴らしいですね。アーティストが彼女に与えた時代を超越したエレガンスは、往年のコミックやスーパーヒーローのアニメ作品のデザインを彷彿とさせます。過去のコミック作品を通じて、このアーティストをご存知の方もいらっしゃるかもしれません……。もしかすると、いつかまた一緒に仕事をする機会があるかもしれませんね。もし実現すれば、それらのコミックは通常のリリースとは別のボーナス作品としてお届けすることになるでしょう。
