Evening folks, Scriptor here with the latest dev news bulletino!
Game development
I’ve been hard at work on the maze area of Ais’ playground; having implemented about half of it: It’s been a busy few days and I’m not displeased with the progression! I’ve managed to shove in the first two maze area maps (which are BIG ones), together with the traps found there and their mechanics. Ranging from stationary perils (danger from above!), patrolling perils (danger from the sides!) and environmental perils (danger from...well, everywhere. 😏😉 ).
I’ve also implemented a buttload of fluff and other important (but less fancy) mechanics; ranging from the progressive anger/interest system (this time portrayed by two new variables called “lives” and “corruption”), a checkpoint system (so Kat doesn’t need to run 5 kilometers to get back to where she was) and some other important under-the-hood code. Oh and I also implemented the first “corruption” event found in Ais’ playground; another chance for Kathleen to flip the tables again (and be the one ON TOP for the exception). :3
Anyhow I’ve got about ~60% of the maze area implemented into the game. So the goal for the remainder of this week is implementing the remaining 40% of the maze area. That way come next week I can move onto the implementation of the second area. Busybusybusy!
Oh and a small update on the health front: I’m still coughing like an airhorn; but energy all-around is quickly returning. So yeah I’m saying this while knocking (vigorously) on wood; but it seems that I’m recovering well: Big yeay! 💪😁
