I finally update HF Patch to v4.0 ＼(≧◡≦)／
This is technical topic for Koikatsu user, and probably only tier 2+ supporters who have my SD need this info. But I still want to share it with everyone.
So around 2024, I stopped updating HF Patch. The reason is because when using HF Patch above v3.24, some of my animation will stutter a lot. So much that it stutter every 3 seconds. I can't stand working on animation like this (ノ°益°)ノ
I go to Koikatsu discord server asking about the issue but there is nobody able to fix it. So I just decide to gave up updating and stay with HF Patch v3.24 forever (눈_눈)
2 years passed. And during that time, I feel like missing out a lot of cool features. Also since I use outdated patch, I fear my SD might not work well with new patch (╯︵╰,)
Recently in 2026 I decide to check the koikatsu discord again for info on that stutter bug. Unlike 2024, now people keep asking about it, it became a major known issue in community. I tried to install the latest HF Patch v4.0 and run my animation... it still stutter (×﹏×)
But in 2025 someone manage to investigate the reason behind those stutter, and find the workaround to avoid the stutter. In short, the outdated pregnancy+ plugin that I used to make stomach bulge is not compatible with newer patch. So the solution is to not do stomach bulge, or use different way to make the stomach bulge.
As you know, I work with very little cuties that get stabbed by not so little sausage. Of course their stomach will bulge with that big sausage inside them, right? („¬ᴗ¬„)
I decide to use the workaround in the animation I'm currently working. Making their stomach bulge using different way. And finally I did it! No more stutter ヽ(*⌒▽⌒*)ﾉ
I'll stay with HF patch v4.0 for now on. Using the new technique for stomach bulge. So my new SD won't have the stutter anymore. But for old SD before 10 July 2026, the stuter will still be there.
I can finally update my patch again! Thank you for the random discord guy that manage to find the fix (≧◡≦) ♡
