🌐日本語
「冷たいスイーツが描きたい！」……そんな気持ちで、
一気にこの作品を描き上げました。
一つは、暑い夏がやってきたので、皆さんに涼しさを感じてもらえるような、
見応えのある一枚を描きたかったからです。
そしてもう一つは、さまざまな塗り方や構図の練習をしたかったからです。
昨年の夏イラスト「水鉄砲バトル」に続き、
今年はかわいい子たちと一緒にスイーツを楽しむシーンを描きました。
今回の作品も気に入っていただけたら嬉しいです！
今回の制作では、まず背景から塗り始めました。
海辺の参考写真を探し、深い青空とエメラルドブルーの海、そして白く輝く砂浜を組み合わせています。
画面の両側には海辺の植物を配置し、
中央には日よけの下でさまざまな冷たいスイーツやドリンクを楽しもうとしている主役たちを描きました。
今回は、できるだけレイヤーの合成モードを使わないように意識しました。
自分で色を選びながら、イメージした色をそのまま塗っていく方法を試しています。
そのほうが普段よりもスムーズで楽しく描けて、絵を描くこと自体をより楽しめている感覚がありました。
（そして、自分がやっぱり綺麗な食べ物を描くのが大好きなんだと再認識しました😋）
逆光で描かれたキャラクターたちも、今回の大きなポイントの一つです。
日陰の涼しさを表現できるだけでなく、背景との視覚的なコントラストも作ることができます。
最初は青緑系の影色に挑戦するつもりでしたが、何度か試した結果、肌は暖色系で表現したほうがしっくりくると感じました。
また、日よけの下では砂浜からの反射光が主な光源になると思ったので、暖色系の光のほうが自然かもしれません。
……逆光の構図は、想像以上に難しかったです。
今回の構図で使用した多くの小物は、以前整理していた3D素材を活用しています。
自転車、バッグ、帽子、アルミ缶、皿、ビーチチェアなど、ほとんどがそうです。
正直なところ、とても助けられましたし、ラフ制作の時間もかなり短縮できました。
（魚眼パースに合わせて角度を微調整するのは少し大変でしたが……）
特に良かったのは、物体のサイズ感や配置を正確に把握できる点です。
以前は定規を使って線を引き、何度も測って調整しながら、
人物や物体、建物の大きさや位置関係を計算していました。
3Dをラフに取り入れるようになってからは、その作業時間を大幅に減らすことができました。
今回の制作では、テーマや資料集めにもかなり力を入れました。
さまざまなかき氷やアイスから始まり、昔ながらのかき氷やフルーツアイス、夏の果物の種類、それらをどう描くかを調べました。
さらに、海辺にはどんな要素があるのか、海浜植物にはどのような種類や色があるのかなども調べています。
調べることはたくさんありましたが、その過程でさまざまな知識を得ることができ、とても有意義でした。

"I really wanted to draw some refreshing summer treats!" — with that feeling in mind, I ended up creating all of these illustrations in one go.
On one hand, since the hot summer season has arrived, I wanted to create a detailed illustration that would give everyone a refreshing feeling.
On the other hand, I also wanted to practice different coloring techniques and composition skills.
Following last year's summer illustration, "Water Gun Battle",
this year's theme features enjoying sweet treats together with these adorable boys.
I hope you all enjoy this piece as well!
For this artwork, I started by laying down the base colors for the background.
I gathered reference photos of beaches, combining a deep blue sky, turquoise ocean, and bright white sandy shores.
Coastal plants were added along both sides of the composition, while the center focuses on the main characters relaxing under a sunshade, ready to enjoy various chilled desserts and drinks.
This time, I tried to minimize my use of layer blending modes.
Instead, I directly painted using colors that I selected and envisioned myself.
I found this approach much smoother and more enjoyable than usual, and it made the process of drawing feel even more rewarding.
(Especially because it reminded me how much I love drawing beautiful food. 😋)
The backlit characters are also one of the major highlights of this piece.
Backlighting helps convey the cool atmosphere of being in the shade while creating a strong visual contrast against the bright background.
At first, I planned to use blue-green tones for the shadows.
However, after several attempts,
I felt that warm tones looked much more natural for skin.
Considering that the primary light source beneath the canopy would likely be reflected light from the sand, warm lighting also seemed more realistic.
...Backlit compositions turned out to be much more challenging than I had expected.
Many of the objects featured in this composition were based on the 3D assets I organized some time ago.
The bicycle, backpack, hat, aluminum can, plates, beach chair, and many other items were all created using those resources.
Honestly, they were incredibly helpful and significantly reduced the amount of time needed for sketching.
(Though adjusting everything to match the fisheye perspective was still rather complicated.)
The biggest advantage was being able to accurately determine the proportions and positions of objects.
Previously, I would rely on rulers and construction lines, repeatedly measuring, adjusting, and recalculating the proportions and placement of characters, objects, and buildings.
Using 3D assets as a sketching aid has greatly reduced that workload.
I also put considerable effort into researching references and gathering materials for this piece. I started by researching various frozen desserts, including traditional shaved ice, fruit ice desserts, seasonal fruits, and how to depict them visually.
Then I explored elements commonly found at beaches, different types of coastal plants, and their colors.
Although there was a lot to research, the process itself taught me many things, making it an incredibly rewarding experience.

「好想畫冰涼的點心呀！」...大概是抱著這樣的心情一口氣畫了這些圖
一方面是炎熱的夏天到了，想要給大家一張清涼的精緻大圖
一方面也是想練習各種塗色和構圖技巧
繼去年的夏日圖—水槍大戰，今年則是與可愛的寶貝們一同享用甜點
希望大家還喜歡！
在這次的作畫過程中，我是先從背景開始打底塗色
找了海灘的參考圖，深藍的天空與青藍的海洋，搭配白亮的沙灘
沿著畫面兩側生長出了海濱植物
中心則是聚焦躲在遮陽棚下的主角們，正準備享用各種冰涼的點心和飲料
我嘗試盡量少用圖層的混合模式
只用自己抓色的方式，直接把心算好的顏色圖上去
我發現在這個方式比平常更順暢且愉悅，有種更享受畫畫的感覺
（尤其又重新發現自己很喜歡畫漂亮食物的這個事實😋）
背光的主角群算是一大重點
能表現陰影下清涼的感覺，也能直接做出與背景的視覺對比
我一開始打算嘗試藍綠色系的陰影風格
但是嘗試了好幾次後，還是覺得以暖色系呈現皮膚比較舒服
並且在棚下的光線可能主要以地上沙子的反射光為主
所以暖色光或許也比較自然
...背光的構圖比想像中來得不容易呀
本次構圖參考的許多物件都來自於前陣子整理的３Ｄ素材
腳踏車、背包、帽子、鋁罐、盤子、躺椅...等等，幾乎全部都是
老實說真的是幫上不少忙，也減少了很多草稿時間
（雖然說要為了魚眼透視微調角度也有點複雜就是了）
最值得的一點是能夠準確知道物件的比例及位置
因為之前畫圖都是自己用尺規作圖測量，不斷畫線、不斷測距、不斷調整
去算出畫面中的人物、物件、建築的比例高度和位置
但用了３Ｄ作為草稿後，真的減少了不少測量時間
本次作圖也在題材和素材參考上下了一些功夫
從各種冰品開始，找了古早味的剉冰、水果冰、夏季的水果有哪些、要怎麼畫
接著是海邊會出現什麼元素、海濱植物的類型、有什麼顏色．．．
雖然很多，但其實探索的過程中得到了大大小小的知識，也是非常有收穫
