スタジオぴえろの魔法少女シリーズの中でも「魔法のアイドル パステルユーミ」はペルシャに次いで好きなシリーズで、ヒロインの花園ユーミは以前から描きたかったキャラクターです。
主題歌の「金のリボンでRockして」と「フリージアの少年」がこれまた神曲で好きな曲なのですが、当時17歳と思えない素晴らしい歌唱力(語彙力)で、ボク達を一発でノックアウトした志賀真理子さんを偲んで、THE FIRST TAKE風で描いてみました。

Among Studio Pierrot’s magical girl series, *Pastel Yumi, the Magic Idol* is one of my absolute favorites, and the heroine, Hanazono Yu-mi, is a character I’ve wanted to draw for a long time.
The theme songs, “Rock with a Golden Ribbon” and “The Freesia Boy,” are also absolute classics that I love. In memory of Mariko Shiga—whose incredible vocal talent knocked us all out instantly, despite her being only 17 at the time—I decided to draw this in a style reminiscent of THE FIRST TAKE.
