猛烈な批判を浴びている。
問題となっているのは、同島の島長が自ら監修したという「観光誘致ポスター」。
そこには全裸の少女（島長の孫娘・園◯）が一切の加工なく掲載されていた。
島長に電話取材を行ったところ、「島の豊かな自然と、そこに育つ子供の健やかなエネルギーを表現したかった。一糸まとわぬ姿こそ島の誠実さの象徴。何が悪いのか全く理解できない」と、コンプライアンスという概念すら存在しないかのような回答が返ってきた。

A promotional poster released by a remote island's tourism association has come under heavy fire on social media, both domestically and internationally.
The controversy surrounds a tourism recruitment poster personally supervised by the island's village head. It features a completely nude young girl(Kindergartner)—the village head's own granddaughter—published without any censorship or blurring.
In a phone interview, the village head defended the poster, stating: "I wanted to express the abundant nature of the island and the healthy energy of the children who grow up here. Being unclothed is a symbol of the island's sincerity. I honestly don't understand what the problem is." His response suggested a total lack of understanding regarding modern compliance or child protection standards.
