Hello everyone, Tadashi Mikami here again, and it's time for another adult movie review of, *Drumroll* our favorite strange pornstar, Ayane Shizuka!
Anyone who's read this blog before knows that I'm a fan of this very strange and VERY attractive gravure model turned Adult Film actress, and I've reviewed a bevvy of other movies she's been in from simple titles like "Bounce Castle Beauty" or "Soft Secretary" 1, 2, and 3, on through her stranger titles like "Succubus Drive", it's sequel "Succubus Overdrive", "Blowjob Blowup", "Every Last Drop", and the April Fools comedy classic "Ultimate Striptease". From consumer friendly scenarios that she adapts to quite well such as JOI, Blowjobs, riding, breast play, and Paizuri as well as various costumes, decent acting, and a willingness to go all the way with yuri, Ayane, better known as "Miss" Shizuka has plenty to offer those looking for a thick girl with huge tits getting into sexy situations. Where she really shines however is in her willingness to cater to niche fetishes like vore, cumflation, bursting /guro, weight gain, and macro/micro to name a few. Most actresses don't touch on the more strange or niche fetishes out there, however there are very few that she won't touch, meaning her versatility combined with her skill makes her one of the most formidable names on the market!
That's not even including appearances on various gameshows and talkshows over the years, and even some odd appearances on drama or comedy variety shows, showing that she actually has a great sense of humor as well! For new fans of her's, they may not realize that she used to appear in music videos for 1Ro$e-Devil a few years back before she got her start in the porn industry. Even more wild than that is that her mother Saki Shizuka was part of the huge Nobutoshi Minamoto scandal back in 1986, and it's possible that she could indeed be the alleged baby from that scandal! No one is sure of Ayane Shizuka's age, however if she was born in 1986, it means in 2008 she would have been 22 years old, and I would say that now in 2012 she definitely could be around 26. When asked about it, she always laughs it off and plays it off as a joke, but theorists online (Not the batshit crazy ones that think she's a lizard person) believe that she's definitely the daughter of Nobutoshi Minamoto, making her the half sister to pop star Kyou Minamoto. If that's true there are probably so many legal reasons in place that keep her from telling the truth, but it honestly just makes her all the more interesting!
I've rambled on enough about this mysterious beauty, but it wasn't for no reason and I'll get back to that in the future, but the takeaway should be that Miss Shizuka is a very controversial figure in certain circles. Today our scantily clad, top heavy queen is taking that idea to the LIMIT with a SNUFF FILM. Haha! Not really, but man did they want to make us think so! Released in the summer of 2010, Cannibal Bride was one of the first films she did with a full production set, costumes, and even extras (Though almost all of them can be recognized as members of other Jun'Ai film crew productions with their pictures on their website. This film was filmed from May to June of 2010, with several teasers and photoshoots being posted to the Jun'Ai website and Miss Shizuka's members only blog throughout until the trailer and video dropped on the first of July.
Directed by Goro Kondo, who has a few notable credits under his belt (Bloodbath Sleepover, and Legal Loli Murder Party), he is known for his over the top use of fake blood and porn in the guro scene and him working with Shizuka is truly a match made in heaven.
The film centers around two unnamed men (And strangely enough uncredited actors as well, more on that later) who travel deep into the jungle on an expedition to find a fertility idol. They are captured by several women, cameo appearances of Kamala Minamoto (From Jun'Ai's Beach party 2009 and their Weekly updates) and Nina Kondo (Night Lovers 1, and 2 and Hotdog party 2) who knock them out with some cheesy acting and a very noticeable fake rock. The production value jumps from here however as they wake up in some old temple which looks almost Aztec (You know that thing where a design goes for an Aztec look but definitely gets parts wrong or made up) and they are approached by Miss Shizuka herself who takes them to meet her father. He's played by, Get this, Takeshi Hozuki (Future director of the Oppai-Zilla movies), and he states that he's the chief of the Serpent Tribe. He welcomes the men to his village and Miss Shizuka takes interest in the men, asking if they can stay. They do and that night when they're sleeping she sneaks into each of their rooms and has sex with them, telling them that the other had insulted their masculinity and other similar lies.
In the morning, each of them get in a fight about the things she said, and the Chief says that whoever wins can marry his daughter. They get in a fight with some decent special effects and splashes of blood, and in the end one man defeats the other, and he retreats into the woods. The other man remains and is declared as the husband of the "Princess" and they go to a large, open canopy bed to have marital sex on white sheets. They have a lengthy scene with multiple positions, however during it, she becomes more aggressive until finally after the man finishes, she bites down on him.
Ooooh yeah, this is a GURO film. The blood sprays everywhere, and you can really see that a lot of the budget went to the special effects here as she ends up eating the entire man. His friend sees this happening from the woods, returning as he planned to bash his friend's head in, but instead finds the "Cannibal Bride" (Title Drop! Haha!) and runs. The other members of the tribe catch him and bring him back to her, where they have sex on an altar, surrounded by a bunch of cloaked figures and she then eats him too, and then masturbates on the altar while scary music plays. As per usual with her more strange fetish outings, she uses an extremely realistic belly prosthetic to look like she's eaten an entire man, and it gets even bigger after the second, and the fake blood used in this is American slasher movie quality! They even use little bits of meat left behind after she tears them apart.
Now, what does any of that have to do with what I said earlier? Well, as I mentioned before, the Shizuka family is no stranger to scandals, and BOY was this one. I've mentioned before that there's a conspiracy theory online about her being a murderer, and that she actually kills people for real in her films, something which exploded in popularity again after the misinformation and speculation from the "My Sweet Valen-Tits" video this year, but this video was the original that got the theories going. The controversy of this video led to the even stranger theory that she was an actual, honest to god lizard person, spreading through various paranormal forums as well, but lets go to the beginning here.
The special effects were VERY realistic, as was the prosthetic stomach, and the acting of the men in the video was EXTREMELY on point. A few times the second man, while stumbling over his words even sounds like he's saying "Is this real" and "Stop, this is too far". Combine this with the fact that no one knew who these men were, and people started to think that this was an honest to god snuff film. The location, also appeared to be made of genuine stone and was outdoors in a coastal forest area, and no one could identify where it was, they could just tell that it wasn't a typical set for a shoot like this, and Jun'Ai is popular but it doesn't have Hollywood money, especially not for a niche porn shoot. The fake prosthetic limbs, belly, and blood were already beyond what you'd think a budget they likely had would allow, and so people were OUTRAGED. It was far more violent than people expected, and even the guro fans (Myself included, I'm not really INTO guro, but I enjoy a good bloody horror flick) thought the gore was a bit much and even sickening.
The video was immediately pulled and banned with an apology from the web host and from Jun'Ai productions only a few hours after it's release, and it even got several reports in local news and on a few websites as a "Snuff Porno" with it's popularity immediately blowing up on gore sites and the deep web. While the knee jerk reactions called it real and horrible, calling for her arrest or death, others pointed out where you could tell that effects were indeed fake, where seams existed on her prosthetic belly or inconsistencies with skin color from the actor to their severed limbs. The Director of the film, Goro Kondo, was also blasted for setting up such a violent film, though an interview with both of them and some behind the scenes photos on Shizuka's blog began to clear the air. The video showed scenes of Ayane covered in fake blood with the cast and crew, taking pictures where she would pretend to eat them, and a particularly funny one of her smoking a cigarette with the prosthetic belly on. She showed that some of the little pink bits of flesh were chewed up bubble gum in fake blood as she chewed it herself on video, but also showed that a lot of the organs were actual real, fresh organs from a pig that she covered herself in. Absolutely NASTY, you have to appreciate her dedication! The true smoking gun however was photos of the two uncredited men taking pictures next to prosthetic heads of each other, and a photo of them using fake severed arms to cup Miss Shizuka's breasts. They explained that the men didn't want to be known for this sort of work, and that it could damage their reputations at home and so they wanted to remain anonymous, and Ayane even called one during the interview to confirm that he was alive. Though this alleviated much of the scandal and accusations faded away among all but the most stalwart of theorists, a few unanswered questions still popped up from time to time. Some claimed that the prosthetics didn't look anything like the ones in the movie and looked much more fake, and that the voice on the phone "Could have been anyone", though the most pressing question from everyone was about the location of the filming as they never revealed any information about the strangely elaborate set. Sleuths pieced together a few things, in trying to determine location, and though many believed it to be in Mexico, some noticed the Diphylleia Grayi, also known as a Skeleton flower, which only grows in northern and central Japan, yet they still could not find a location with an ancient "Aztec" or "Mayan" temple on the coast of Northern Japan even when using satellite imaging sites, though several locations had for some reason been censored by the Japanese Government, and sleuths willing to go the extra mile had even attempted to travel there but found the forested area within several miles of one of the locations to be guarded by stationed American soldiers. This is the only part of the story I find particularly compelling as it is strange for a location to be blocked off, though the likely hood of it simply being land provided quietly to the US army for some reason rather than being some strange ancient temple that a porno was filmed at is much more likely. This of course makes the theorists believe that the government is covering something up.
This isn't the first time something like this has happened, with films such as Cannibal Holocaust in 1980 causing it's director to be arrested for murder initially until he could prove that the cast were still alive, and the movie Snuff a few years before that experienced investigation for claiming to show a real murder. This obscure adult film goes down in history as being in the same vein as those others, and it only adds to the incredibly interesting story of Miss Shizuka being whom I believe to be the most interesting and talented lewd actress of the modern day.
Now if you want to watch this film, you can find it on various sites online for free, as they never put it back up for sale again even after everything happened, and even if they had they probably wouldn't have made much as it was so freely and widely distributed online that it was easier to find for free than to find a paid copy. If you want a hard copy on DVD, you'll have to avoid bootlegs, and you'll have to shell out a pretty penny because the limited number of DVD's sold go for almost $5000 or ¥397,000 on the market if you can find one! I myself don't even own an official copy, just an incredibly realistic fan recreation available at the website Cannibalbridefanrepro.com for $25.
Unfortunately, Goro Kondo and Ayane Shizuka never worked together again after this due to the controversy, and Jun'Ai almost parted ways with both of them, though Mr. Kondo stepped down and asked for them to keep Ayane working for them saying they couldn't afford to lose her, leaving it with the joke "She works like a horse." to which she relied "I could probably work a horse if I had to but I'd rather not..." Something referenced earlier this year in her short film "Barnyard Baby" haha! And while there are still detractors, overall the story of the film is almost more entertaining and interesting than the film itself, but I can't help but think when I see those sickening visuals that it does look a little TOO real. But then I remind myself that I'm sane and the simplest answer is likely the truth. Prosthetics, good filming, good acting, and camera resolution. It's not my type of porn, and it's a bit much, so for a ranking I'll give it a 6/10, as a horror film an 8/10 and as a rollercoaster ride from beginning to end, a 10/10!
OH, and fun fact. The interview where she debunked the "True Cannibal" rumors, is the same video where they measured her tongue for the book of world records! You may remember the image of her with her eyes shifted to the side and her tongue out and mouth open wide next to that ruler that people use as a meme sometimes! That came from THAT interview and may be more well known by now than the original scandal to the public. They did determine that her tongue was 12.15 cm or 4.78 inches long and she does indeed still hold the world record! She also stated that sometimes she has a little bit of a lisp or funny accent due to it, which people have noted as being one of her charm points, and you can see that tongue on full display in this movie and on the cover!
