This major release took 200 hours to complete, and it is impossible to list all the changes properly, as the project was literally rewritten from scratch.
We now have a solid backbone and can begin to slowly iterate on features and the interface, such as restoring the classic one.
This release primarily includes invisible stability improvements for the universal mode from v3.0.0 early alfa, along with significant visible changes to nearly everything else, as we remade EVERYTHING else.
UPD: We have actually already adapted our classic interface for you to use as one of the options in the new extension, which will be available in version 3.2.0.
Our current development pace is much faster than our ability to write changelogs...
What's new in Videochat Extension?
Videochat Extension was rewritten from scratch.
It now focuses only on universal WebRTC monitoring and IP geolocation, works everywhere, and can operate at the browser level if required.
Not a single line of code includes specific site improvements.
Original UI is still work-in-progress.
Monitoring can work either via Website Mode (free) or Browser Mode (patron-only).

It can open in the side panel, as a popup, or in a new tab.

Website Mode
A traditional approach modifies the target webpage and relies on trust; however, websites can detect changes and potentially attack our project or the user.
Problematic sites are blacklisted using a dynamic blacklist system that does not require updating the extension code.
Accessible for free on every non-blacklisted site.
Browser Mode
A patron-only feature that injects monitoring code directly into the browser, completely avoiding the website environment.
This requires additional browser configuration and can pose risks for uneducated users.
Added a half-broken status icon to the monitoring interface.
The status icon represents whether the extension is receiving data from the data source, not if there is an actual active WebRTC connection.
Increased overall stability compared to v3.0.0 early alfa.
Increased privacy
Removed every know possibility for the website to detect the usage of the extension (in Browser Mode).
We have addressed every possible issue, including stopping the caching of IP addresses on the backend and providing access to Browser Mode only to patrons, allowing them to maintain a low profile.
