Hello all, TD here, it’s been another three week cycle so let’s get reportin’.
All told Ch4Up7 sits at a current total of 1,321 static images, 112 animations, and 30,162 words.
That works out to 221 static images, 14 animations, and 4,340 words added to the project since our last developer diary.
Pretty good output I’d say. This is already the most animations created for a single update, and quite frankly, it is going to keep growing. As of a few days ago, we doubled back to Rosalind’s scene after making headway into the more linear parts of the update, so there’s that remaining, plus the promised Hana GF stuff, some stuff I won’t mention, and the conclusion of the night.
There’s still a lot of tall orders in front of us, but I’ve been unusually excited and hopeful of our progress these past couple of weeks, as if the shape of the update is in full view and we just need to keep having weeks like these to lay it to rest. It’s comforting to know even when I falter, GIL is the man, knocking out one complicated scene after another while all-the-while elevating the material to a state I am proud of.
And, I say it every time, but it wouldn’t be possible without you. As of this month, the project has been publicly available for six years. In that time, GIL and I have both grown a lot, and in ways I would never imagine for myself. The trepidation I felt all those years ago over my place in this world has been replaced with a feeling of certainty. Pale Carnations has connected us to a broader world, one where we reach people in a small way, and we are eternally grateful for that opportunity. We will continue to make good on your generosity.
