DESCRIPTION

GCW owner Brett Lauderdale spoke to Sean Ross Sapp.

He said that the Minneapolis setup for GCW during Summerslam weekend isn't easy, and it's a huge undertaking. He does not expect to do anything WrestleMania weekend in Saudi Arabia and said it was expensive and not plausible, so he's keeping his eye on other events and big weeks to plan.

Lauderdale confirmed they have a contracted number of events they must meet with Triller, but can go over that.

He said that GCW still has a great relationship with Josh Barnett, and hopes that we will see another Josh Barnett's Bloodsport again. However, he said that Bloodsport existed before Barnett, and he thinks probably will after Barnett, who put his version on hiatus.

The Fetty Wap spot came about because he had a concert in the same venue, and a friend of Brett's ran a company in contact with him. He said that Fetty Wap was open to everything, and it was his idea to do the Stone Cold Steve Austin theme music. He would love to see Fetty Wap wrestle at some point.

He said that if anyone reminded him of what Matt Cardona did on the indies, it's Shotzi. He said that he still talks to Allie Katch regularly, and won't close the door on her ever returning. Effy is taking some time away from GCW and said sometimes you need a break, and a lot of GCW this year has been establishing new talent, so that eventually the more familiar talent can work with them as well.
