Heroes of Wrestling was nearly a topic for a recent season of Dark Side of the Ring, Fightful Select has learned.
Dark Side of the Ring is coming back for their seventh season on July 7, with a new batch of stories.
However, one story almost happened in recent years, but didn’t end up occurring. In speaking with Dark Side of the Ring creator Evan Husney, he confirmed to Fightful that the ill fated Heroes of Wrestling PPV was nearly a top of the show. He said that they made the contacts, and had interviews planned, but the idea was put on hold.
The all-time terrible PPV event featured a number of people who are still around to talk about it, including Duch Mantell, Jake Roberts, Bob Orton Jr, One Man Gang, 2 Cold Scorpio, Marty Jannetty, Julio Fantastico, Greg Valentine and others.
