WrestleVotes Radio has learned that when Matt Cardona returned to WWE earlier this year, there was hope among some behind the scenes that he would ultimately be presented as Zack Ryder. We're told the feeling was that the Zack Ryder character was already an established television presence in WWE that carried great familiarity with the audience as opposed to fully embracing the success that Cardona built for himself on the independent scene.WrestleVotes hasn't heard anything that indicates that a shift back to the Ryder persona is currently planned, but it is a situation that is worth watching.
