Recently I restored the 1960 UK film Too Hot to Handle, with Jayne Mansfield and Christopher Lee. I'll have to revisit it, because I've been sent thirty-seven minutes of film which is mostly uncensored. The color is faded but it looks good otherwise. I believe the reels in question are 2A, 2B, 3B and 4B.There is some material here which I haven't seen or heard before, and a lot of material which I only had in poor quality previously. The title song is an earlier uncensored edit, without the cuts to close-ups present in other versions. There's also one sequence with journalist Robert which I only had as a German dub before. (The second such sequence remains elusive.)This is a film which fell through the cracks, getting in a lot of trouble with the censors over nudity (although "less nude" takes were also shot). The current versions circulating in English are in black and white and censored, with some plot threads cut out. I did a restoration in color fixing all of this, but this material presents the uncensored scenes in better quality -- especially if the color fading can be reckoned with.I've also contacted another possible source. And I've seen photos of a deleted "bullfight burlesque" scene which I hope turns up somewhere somehow.
