Original Project Update: Mid-May

DESCRIPTION

The semi-secret original project has taken a step into 3D. I've always found Blender confusing, and certainly it's too full-featured and not user-friendly, but lately I've been using it for sculpting/detailing 3D models, as if it's ZBrush, and with that limited scope it's fine for me. I now have a 3D printable army of characters from the original project and that opens up a lot of possibilities. I am now making sure that some of them are in poses that allow them to be rigged for 3D movement in 3D animations. That wasn't a concern at the beginning but I like being able to see them dance and so on. Publicly the project has been on hiatus since early February or early March (apart from a two-page magazine feature), but privately I've been working on a ton of artwork for it, hundreds of pieces, and now these sculpts. I was also going to do some video game demos for it, and other experiments. There's a lot I could do with these characters and I've been experimenting with a lot of things and not quite finishing anything lately. Going down some dead ends for the sake of experimentation. The inked art is done for a range of small video game spinoffs, and several comics, and has been for awhile, so I just need to do cleanup and color on all of that. I've also fallen behind on writing the novel and story, which is the toughest thing to do when I'm not feeling well. Lot to do. I'd like to do another magazine feature for next month, so it's likely that I'll finish something for early next month. That might be something unique to the magazine or it might be one of the delayed comics.
