Some of you will have seen the quasi-secret personal project I've been working on for awhile, which recently expanded into 3D and 3D printing. I'm rendering some 3D animation right now in fact. A new update for this project -- a four page mini-comic, some interactive material and a book chapter -- launched this month at least, and 3D printed toys before that. This update then unlaunched, which was disappointing. I'd put my trust in a publication which then screwed the whole thing up. I'd like to do more collaborations with people. I think that's key to my work actually being seen. But so often when I try to collaborate I get zero understanding or respect on the other side, and I realize I'm just throwing good work down the drain.
On the video restoration front I've been sent a VHS tape of a play, which may be the only surviving copy of such, and was one of my holy grails. I am not allowed to share it publicly because the writer's daughter wants to do something with it. I am allowed to share a related music video but haven't restored it yet.
Rhys has sent in a very good Muppet Show Zoot ending from Australia, and a few more promos turned up.
I am supposed to be working on more chapter writing, as well as some LCD games for which the artwork is already done.
This week has been rough for other reasons. On the 17th I developed terrible nausea and was unable to keep food down for several days. Fever, chills, lots of health issues. I eventually got some anti-nausea medication and stabilized a bit but have still been exhausted and not at 100%. I haven't really returned to work since. I thought I was over the worst of it, but I became ill again today. Not sure when I'll be back to 100%.
