Hey guys! Finally got an update for King of the World! This one is for the Non-canon 'movie girls' in case it's been too long. So Uta, Baccarat and Carina. While I didn't intend for it to go so long without an update for this story, I'm at least glad it'll be a double-size chapter at nearly 28k words.
Chapter Summary: As the crew of the Pirate King returns to the Grand Line after 'recruiting' Reiju, they receive an invitation to a special show! A performance by the world's biggest pop-idol, Uta! (Non-canon ladies: Uta, Baccarat & Carina)

Reposted A/N: Wow, it’s been a minute for this one! Here’s the long-overdue update to KotW! Hope you enjoyed Uta, Baccarat, and Carina! They were a lot of fun to write, and I tried to share their page time somewhat evenly. I had a million different ideas for what I wanted to do with this one, but ended up with a sort of mixed reimagining of the two Films. Hopefully it was a good time!
I considered mixing in more noncanon girls as quick extras, like Desiree as an opponent in a race, or Honey Queen as a Casino girl, but decided not to risk pulling attention away from the main girls of this one. Typically, when I try to do a quick ‘extra’ character like that, it ends up somehow being an entire extra 5k+ word scene by itself. Not to say it won’t happen in the future! There are still quite a few non-canon ladies to play with. (Although I believe the next most popular would be Ain, and she’s already at the front of the line)
As you might assume from that ending, the next Chapter is going to be the LONG time coming Marines III Chapter. It’s been overshadowed in the votes for a while but since it’s been teased for so long I don’t want to delay it any further.
We’ve got a LOT of Marine ladies now! Hina and Tashigi, first and foremost. Then there’s Ain, Hibari & Kujaku, Vice-Admirals Doll and Gion. As well as another noncanon marine Isuka and if we really want more, Jessica from G8 and even cute dr. Kobato. Next chapter probably won’t include all of those at once... but who knows? If I just do Hina & Tashigi as well as Ain, then I’d have to do a ‘Marines IV’ to sweep up the rest. We’ll see.
