Okay, here's the schedule for our ninth writing cycle!
Some changes on how I'll do things. As you may have noticed, there are some stories I do double updates for. I'll make that somewhat standard—though I'm not pledging two chapters per update. It's more of a guideline depending on my mood.
Usually it takes 1-3 days to finish a chapter, and on average it generally takes 2 days. Sometimes momentum helps me write. Before, I did chunks of stories within a writing cycle—three chapters of a side story, three chapters of a main story, then three chapters of a spiced story. But I found that too constricting, since sometimes I'm not in the mood to write the same story consecutively.
I've also found that there are times where I want to push straight towards the next chapter immediately.
So for this writing cycle, I'll be dedicating three days to one story at a time, with certain caveats to temper expectations. This is, again, subject to my mood:
I can write up to three chapters if the mood fits, but this can only work if I finish a chapter a day. If a chapter takes more than one day, I'm only allowed a maximum of two chapters and cannot go past three days.
I can move on to the next scheduled story if I don't feel like writing another chapter.
If I finish two chapters within a day and want to move on, I can dedicate the next day to anything I want to write—but I cannot use day three. Meaning you can expect me to start writing the next scheduled story on day three. (Sometimes there are one-shots and story ideas I'd like to write but can't find the time for.)
Bonus chapter updates are subject to my preference on who gets updates, but generally a bonus chapter grants every tier, plus public and Discord, a +1 in chapter updates.
Thank you for your understanding!
Schedule:
As you can see in the schedule, the highlighted side story and spiced story this cycle are:
Ending Maker: Fate Wizardry
The Metamorph Next Door
But like we did in our previous cycle, I'm updating the non-highlighted stories (Fate/Knights of the Heroic Throne, Fate/Charm of the Devil Fae, and Release that Witch... and Wizard?!) at least once, so fans of these stories can look forward to an update even when it's not their highlighted cycle.
I'll probably run a poll around mid-cycle for which Spiced Story to prioritise next writing cycle.
Note: Chapter values may not reflect what's on the schedule, as sometimes an arc takes more chapters than expected.
Update on Free Write Stories: Technically, these are no longer free write since they're scheduled, but anyway, just a reminder. Stories labelled as Free Write—like our Danmachi, Oregairu, and the new Harry Potter fanfic—are labelled semi-exclusive until they're either complete or have hit 13 advance chapters compared to public chapters.
Once we've hit that number, they'll convert to regular stories. Meaning I'll make some updates that'll give higher-tiered members more value, like a chapter lead.
At least with Magus tier, and Caster Class for the spiced stories, you'll still have a thirteen-chapter lead compared to public chapters, and I'll probably try to increase that lead over time.
