I'mma be straight with you this should be my best radiant mod for wuwa so far or at least the one I took the most pleasure to make! So how to sum it up in few words… Well, first I focused on creating a more violent palette rupture between her normal and liberation form including white hair to dark hair and a warmer skin opposed to the initial cold white skin. My other main idea was to break with the "red miko" theme to reach more of a ronin/samurai vibe instead. You will also notice my mod most drastic changes affect much more her normal form. That's because I agree with the fact that her liberation form was already almost flawless! I also added more layers of "japanese sobriety" from multiple angles, too much things were either too messy or too superfluous on her base design (like dull markings or cringe flowers here and there). I wiped the horrible snowflakes patterns cliche on her liberation form for a more pure take while also dragging the color from that weird purple blue to a pleasing cyan blue.
Both forte yumi and wakizashi are now real weapons, that took me quite some time to re-build them (handmade lackered wood texture was made from 0). The square pattern on her sleeve was an unbearable view to me so I replaced it with something unique and sweet-toned : a Sumi-e I created on 14 layers including normal map bumps (those sleeves took me half a day of work alone to clean and replace).
I count on you all to share it to your friends, favourite social platforms to help making that bad boy a bit more popular, especially if you know some japanese friends or japan lovers since this mod is my love letter to their amazing culture!
Finally I have a less happy news, I had to turn down 2 missions of my irl illustrator job to have enough time for this crazy mod. Now my boss is not so happy and I will have to make up for it next month if I don't want to loose my job! So I'll have to ease up the gas for the next one that's why Radiant Denia will be more modest. Although It doesn't mean it will be sloppy as I'll try to do my best as always. May be someday I could overcome this life challenge between my work and favourite hobby with enough people backing me up here!
