A steamy summer's night sends 21-year-old Gillian plunging to the bottom of blissfully cool Rapture Lake—168 ft down.

About this piece: If you're wondering why we're having another freediving clip so soon after Natural Blonde Diver II, you can thank/blame my big freediving fan on Twitter, who kindly pointed out that when diving with no fins, freedivers use the frog kick, which was absent from that piece but fixed here.
Freediving clips have become my favorite, and I wanted to make one with better details and realism related to extremely deep water—near silence, low light, the bends, etc. This is also the first night dive in a lake we've had, which has been on my wish list for a long time. I'll be further practicing the swimming movements and learning new strokes, so next time will be even better. For now, I really hope you enjoy Rapture Lake—I utterly loved making this one.
