Hey yall! Sorry for being so late this month (and missing last month, yikes!). Hopefully we'll be back on track just fine for the new year!
One thing has become very clear to me: I am NOT going to hit my goal of completing all my Patreon backlog by Jan 1 2023. Too much stuff got in the way the last few months from physical illness to mental illness to cons to whatever else. Things are looking up now as the fatigue from my most recent illness starts to fade, but there's just no way I can finish almost 30 commissions in the next three weeks. I'm really sorry to let everyone down. I let myself down too. One thing I've realized is that only working on Patreon commissions for months on end is not good for me - it's just too draining to keep picking away at a long list and feeling like it never gets any shorter, which makes it hard to stay motivated - and it's not fair to my regular queue customers. I will be keeping my primary focus on Patreon (and stream work) but I'm going to start focusing on regular queue commissions again as well. I have much fewer new Patreon commissions coming in monthly right now since I only have one sketch client and two larger clients, so there isn't the same panic to keep my head above water that there was before. I'm not comfortable taking fresh rounds of regular queue commissions while my Patreon backlog is this long (spoiler alert: I did take two colored sketch commissions at MFF, but they are small and also know it will be a while before they're finished), so while I'm back to splitting my time for now, there will also be a point at which I probably still have Patreon backlog but do not have any regular queue commissions. We'll see how that goes. I'm gonna keep picking away at things and I will also be getting sketches done for the more recent pics ASAP as well. I'm hoping this won't take too much longer but unfortunately with bipolar, autism, and other health conditions, I can't always judge how I'm going to be able to work tomorrow, even if I'm feeling great today, so it's hard to give a solid estimate of the finish line. I'm just going to keep taking it one day at a time. Thank you all SO MUCH for your patience. Yall are rockstars.
