{First Pov}
I opened my eyes slowly, only to find myself staring at an unfamiliar figure standing before me. My brows furrowed in confusion on why was there a man with long brown hair and strikingly rare blue eyes smiling at me as though he had just successfully proposed to the love of his life?
The expression on his face was far too radiant, far too intimate, for this bizarre situation. My gaze darted around, scanning the surroundings, and I realized with a jolt that the background was completely foreign to me. Nothing looked familiar. Panic surged through me.
'Wait...did someone kidnap me?!', I thought.
The realization hit me like the Zeus' thunderstrike, wait why Zeus' thunderstrike? Leaving that I immediately freaked out. My body shot upright from where I had been lying, and I shouted at the man with all the urgency I could muster: “Who are you?! Where am I?!”
The man blinked at me in visible confusion, tilting his head slightly, while I quickly scanned the area again. My heart sank when I noticed that he seemed to be carrying a cold weapon, something sharp and dangerous, and far too close for my handsome self's comfort.
Leaving out the impromptu narcissim that came out of nowhere.
'Damnit! I need to escape somehow and get help,' I thought, my mind racing with desperation.
“Lord Apollo, is something the matter? Why are you looking at me like that?” he asked, his tone oddly soft, almost feminine, and the way his delicate expression accompanied those words made me shudder involuntarily.
I forced myself to calm down, at least outwardly, and replayed what he had just said in my mind.
'Wait a second… did he just call me Apollo? As in the Greek God of the Sun?', My otaku instincts immediately flared, tingling with excitement and disbelief, whispering that something extraordinary, something straight out of a fantasy anime was happening to me.
Driven by urgency and curiosity, I searched the room until my eyes landed on a mirror nearby. My legs moved almost on their own, carrying me toward it.
“This… this can’t be,” I muttered, my voice trembling as I stared at the reflection staring back at me.
The face in the mirror was not mine or at least, not the one I had known all my life. Instead, I saw a visage sculpted with sharp, noble features, a distinctly Greek face that radiated an aura of divinity.
It was handsome beyond belief, almost unnervingly so. My breath caught when I noticed the cascade of unusual red hair falling gracefully to my cheek, shimmering faintly as though touched by sunlight.
Though it might be just my imagination, for some reason I was feeling like a professional narcissist at the moment.
My eyes widened further as I looked down at myself. My attire was nothing like the modern clothes I was used to. Instead, I was dressed in garments of ancient Greek style, flowing and regal, befitting a figure of myth. The realization sent a chill down my spine, and yet, a thrill of awe coursed through me at the same time.
Damn it! Why I am in awe?! What's wrong with me?!
Creak
Suddenly, the massive wooden door swung open, revealing a woman with short crimson hair and piercing light-yellow eyes. “What’s up with that scream?” she asked, her voice carrying a sharp edge of curiosity.
My eyes widened even further as I stared at her, stunned, and before I could gather my thoughts, another figure appeared behind her. This time it was a girl with flowing blue hair, her expression calm yet concerned. “Is something the matter, Lord Apollo?” she asked softly, her words directed at me with an unsettling familiarity.
Before I could respond, the man beside me quickly interjected, his tone protective yet worried. “It’s none of your business. Lord Apollo must have had a bad dream,” he said, his gaze lingering on me with visible concern.
I swallowed hard, my throat dry, and then suddenly a sharp, unbearable pain tore through my mind. My body convulsed as new memories forced themselves into my consciousness, flooding me with overwhelming intensity.
“Fuuuucccckkkkk!!!!” I screamed, the sound echoing through the chamber as I clutched my head in agony. Something surged out of me uncontrollably, a radiant force bursting forth, it was my Arcanum.
But this was no time to marvel at it. The pain was excruciating, far beyond anything I had ever experienced.
'Aghhhhhh! It hurts so much!!!', I thought desperately, feeling as though my very soul was being crushed beneath an invisible weight, pressed against something incomprehensible and divine.
[Devouring the Divine Soul… 70%… 89%… 99%… 100%!]
A new voice suddenly echoed within my head, though I had no liberty to dwell on it. My hands gripped my skull tightly as an endless torrent of memories stretching across millions of years came crashing into my mind at a speed far beyond anything I could comprehend. The weight of it all was unbearable, threatening to shatter my sanity.
Before me, my three children collapsed to their knees, unable to move, their bodies pinned down by the overwhelming force of my Divine Arcanum. The sheer pressure radiating from me was suffocating.
'It is time you stop, Apollo. Any further and I will be forced to send you back to heaven,' another voice rang out inside my mind, calm yet commanding, resonating with divine authority.
'What the fuck is going on with everyone speaking inside my head?!!!', I screamed internally, my thoughts spiraling in frustration as I fought desperately to rein in the raging Arcanum. My aura flared violently for a moment longer, but with immense effort I forced it to subside. Within seconds, the crushing pain began to fade, leaving me trembling but still standing.
“Is there something we did wrong, Lord Apollo?!” asked the Captain of my familiar, his voice trembling with fear. His eyes carried a guilty, pleading look, silently begging for forgiveness. Even the red-haired woman and the blue-haired girl mirrored his expression, their faces etched with worry and dread as they awaited my response.
Meanwhile, I remained silent, my hands still clutching my head as I tried to calm myself and comprehend the goddamn situation I had been thrust into.
'So yesterday I was grieving over my 40th year of being single. I mean, sure, I wasn’t a virgin, but there was never any true love. Every woman I encountered in my earlier days turned out to be nothing more than opportunists, basically bitches who only wanted my money or sought to take advantage of me. But hey, that’s not the point right now!;, I thought bitterly, forcing myself to focus.
My gaze shifted to the three figures kneeling before me, their bodies trembling with fear under the weight of my earlier outburst. I exhaled heavily, releasing a long sigh.
'I can think about all of this later. For now, I should deal with the mess I’ve caused,' I reminded myself.
“Rise up, my children!” I commanded firmly. They immediately obeyed, standing from the awkward position they had been frozen in. My eyes wandered across the room, and soon they landed on a half-emptied glass of Soma wine resting nearby. A spark of inspiration flickered in my mind, and a brilliant idea formed.
“I should apologize for my outbreak, my children. As you can see, I was drinking Soma wine, and it clouded my mind, leaving me in disarray,” I explained, smoothly shifting all the blame onto the god infamous for brewing divine wine yet disgusted by mortals who fell entranced by it. Truly, what a hypocrite.
“Tsk,” Daphne clicked her tongue, her annoyance clear, obviously unimpressed by my excuse.
Meanwhile, Hyakinthos spoke with fiery determination, his voice laced with anger. “I see. Then please, give me a command to ensure those dogs and their so-called captain are taught a proper lesson. How dare they hand you such corrupted wine?!” His tone burned with outrage, his loyalty evident in every word.
'All of his wines are corrupted anyway,' I thought to myself, amused by the irony of the situation. Narrowing my eyes, I replied calmly, “There is no need for such an action. We already have a war game coming up tomorrow.”
“Is that so? Then would you like to rest for a while, Lord Apollo?” Hyakinthos asked, his voice softening as he looked at me with concern. I gave a slight nod and began walking toward my private chambers. “Also, there is no need to accompany me,” I added firmly to him, who was trailing behind me like a loyal hound unwilling to leave his master’s side. He nodded obediently, and I quickly stepped inside my room, shutting the door tightly behind me.
The moment the door closed, I let out a furious shout, my voice echoing through the chamber. “Fuck transmigration! Fuck the god who forced me into this ridiculous situation!!”
[You are a God, Master]
I froze instantly, my body stiffening as the mysterious voice reverberated inside my mind. Silence fell over me as I processed the words.
From my past life as an otaku, I already had a strong suspicion of what this presence was. My lips curled into a grim line as I asked cautiously, 'You are a System, aren’t you?'
[Positive, I am the System who reincarnated you in this world as a God]
The reply from the System stunned me for a moment, leaving me frozen in disbelief. Yet, as the words sank in, I realized it was undeniably true. I was really a god now, a fricking living and breathing god, the one who possessed the power to burn down the entire Genkai if I were to unleash the full might of my Arcanum.
'I have countless questions to ask you,' I thought, my mind racing.
'I want to discuss every bizarre, twisted thing that has happened so far, and how strangely I feel no remorse for dying in my previous world. It’s almost surreal. I simply know that I’ve reincarnated into a world that, in my past life, was nothing more than an anime. And now I stand here as a god who was portrayed as bisexual. Thankfully, I am straight or rather, Apollo was straight aside from his obsessive attraction toward beauty itself, a trait born from his Arcanum.'
I couldn’t help but feel a wave of relief. I was genuinely thankful that Apollo wasn’t gay, because otherwise...Ugh I might have considered ending myself after reincarnation, or perhaps after this strange transmigration. Whatever the case, it wasn’t as if anyone would have cared about that decision anyway.
Shaking off the thought, I reminded myself of the pressing matter at hand. I needed to handle the situation before me. According to the memories of Apollo, the memories that now belonged to me there was less than a day left until the War Game between my familia and Hestia’s familia.
The countdown had already begun, the fuck is this?!
'I am in a shithole sinking several meters deep,' I summarized grimly, trying to make sense of the mess I had inherited.
Apollo, with his perverse obsession for beauty, had foolishly set his sights on the protagonist of this anime, the cute rabbit and hero extraordinaire Bell Cranel.
A supposedly mere human boy, yet one who could level up at an absurd pace thanks to a skill that practically ran on his endless supply of simp energy. By now, he should already be as strong as a Level 3, waiting to turn the tides tomorrow once Lili wreaks havoc on our carefully laid plans.
However, thanks to my meta knowledge, I had the advantage of foresight. I could prevent the betrayal orchestrated by Lili, who disguised herself as one of my familia members.
But even then, there was Ryuu, a formidable Level 4 adventurer who would undoubtedly lend her strength to Hestia Familia during the War Game. And then, of course, there was Bell Cranel himself.
Even if he didn’t possess plot armor as thick as Demeter’s thighs, he still carried the ultimate skill: Yandere Protection.
Freya, with her insatiable desire, would surely burn my familia to ashes once she could no longer resist the urge to claim Bell for herself. This boy was nothing but a walking disaster, a problem magnet wherever he went, exactly what one would expect from a typical protagonist.
'But I need to win somehow,' I thought, my resolve hardening.
'I must turn this unfavorable situation around and lead my familia down the path to victory. Otherwise, Hestia will punish me in the same humiliating way as shown in the anime.'
The thought made me shudder, the image of losing everything only to be left with a feminine man who wanted to bang me flashing through my mind like a nightmare.
'Fuck, although I appreciate his loyalty, knowing his true gay nature all I can say is amen for myself, I thought with a weary sigh. Well, thankfully I have plot armor of my own or rather, a cheat would be the more appropriate term. Okay, System, can you give me a proper introduction about yourself?', I asked the entity that had remained silent until now.
[I am your servant, assistant, and the path to achieving your desires. A being forged upon the foundation of famous cheats known as ‘Systems.’ I am the ULTIMATE GOD SYSTEM, created with the sole purpose of making you, my Master, stronger than even the One Above All. I know you have many questions, but at present I cannot answer most of them.]
I stood there stunned, my mind blank for a moment, before laughter erupted uncontrollably from my lips. “Hahahaha! Are you kidding me?!! You claim you want to make me stronger than one of the most powerful fictional characters from my previous life, and then immediately tell me you can’t explain anything else because of some cliché restriction or other bullshit? That is honestly the most hilarious thing I have ever heard!” I said, my voice echoing with disbelief and amusement.
[...]
Silence followed. The System had gone quiet. I exhaled slowly, shaking my head. “Oh, I guess I made it shut up. Well, I’ll believe you for now. I mean, what can I a mere human, wait correction- A mere god with small 'g', possibly do against a System that literally reincarnated me as a god and devoured others to make me one? Go on some bullshit ‘No System Adventure’ after finding out you’re just using me? That would be hopeless for me anyway. But well, I won’t question my current bizarre mentality or the hilariously absurd situation I’ve been thrown into.”
[...]
[I see. Then—although I would prefer to reveal all of my functions that may prove useful later—considering your current predicament, I strongly advise you to open the Novice God Giftpack. Within it lies something I have personally altered, a reward that will allow you to turn the tides in your favor.]
[Notice! Would you like to Open the Novice God Giftpack? Yes/No]
'Yes, of course,' I replied silently without hesitation.
[Congratulations! You have acquired the template of Phoebus Apollo from Campione. You have acquired Servant Summon ‘Moon Type Universe’. Notice! Due to the rewards reaching the novice gifting limit standard, no additional rewards will be provided.]
I froze for a moment, stunned into silence, before a wide smile slowly spread across my lips. 'Did Lady Luck just bless me with a heavenly peek of her divine oppai?', I thought gleefully, my heart racing with excitement.
Unable to contain myself, I clasped my hands together and began to pray fervently. “Thank you, Lady Luck! If I am ever fortunate enough to meet you one day, I swear I will make sure to give you a truly wonderful treat.”
[...]
[Master, everything was pre-arranged], the System declared in a blunt, matter-of-fact tone.
I froze for a moment, then let out a long sigh. 'Of course I know! But considering the insane situation I’ve been thrown into, can’t I at least go a little crazy to distract my mind?', I asked inwardly, frustration bubbling beneath the surface.
Almost immediately, detailed instructions on how to summon a Servant appeared within my consciousness, etched into my mind as though they had always been there. My eyebrows twitched involuntarily, and I muttered to myself, 'There won’t be any problems, right? Like, no other god especially that old bastard Ouranos will realize the kind of shit I’ve just pulled off?'
[Positive. Although not powerful enough to conceal against even lower multiversal entities, the weak gods of this world cannot comprehend that the Servant originates from another realm. They will not perceive its true nature, even though it carries the essence of a Spirit], the System replied with calm certainty.
Relief washed over me, and I exhaled deeply. 'Thank god- wait I am the god now, well thank you, System. At least now I have a chance to avoid my impending doom,' I thought, my tension easing slightly.
I quickly stepped out of my chambers, only to find Hyakinthos waiting patiently outside, his expression passive yet unwavering. Thankfully, the room was soundproof, and most of my conversation with the System had been confined to the silence of my mind.
“Are you feeling better, Lord Apollo?” Hyakinthos asked, bowing gently, his eyes filled with concern as he looked up at me.
'Only if you didn’t harbor those extremely disgusting, bone-chilling impure thoughts about me, you could have been a good bro… ', I sighed inwardly, shaking my head at the irony of it all. Then, with a sharp tone, I spoke aloud: “Hyakinthos! Quickly, fetch me three no, four dead bodies of rabbits, or any other small animals you can find!”
Hearing my sudden command, Hyakinthos froze in place, his eyes widening in shock. “Why would you require such filthy things, Lord Apollo? Do you perhaps have the desire to eat cooked rabbit?” he asked, his voice tinged with confusion.
I straightened my posture and replied in a serious, unwavering tone. “Listen carefully, Hyakinthos. Since you are my most loyal member of the familia, I am entrusting you with this request. What I need is a secret, and I expect you not to ask unnecessary questions. Simply do as I tell you. Can I expect that much from you?”
His expression shifted instantly. Straightening his back, his face lit up with joy, and he declared with fervent devotion, “I shall carry out your orders until the very end of Hell itself, Lord Apollo!”
I gave a firm nod of approval, then quickly relayed the rest of my instructions before returning to my chamber. Closing the door behind me, I clenched my fists and muttered with determination, “Well then, Orario… here I cum- I mean come!!”
I definitely hope my tongue doesn't slips again.
To be continued…
(A/N: There are some facts, Apollo has blonde hair in Novel but in anime he was a redhead.
I do not remember Apollo's eye colour, but I will make it just red.
Secondly the mirror is a special type of mirror that reflects nothing but Apollo's own reflection)
