Hi guys,
If you have the new dlc, and your Sims are losing their careers, it’s a reported issue with EA’s new tuning. Lot51’s Core Library patched it, but some players are still having issues.
I was reluctant to update my careers to 32bit, as you’ll lose all your progress and need to rejoin them, but it needed doing. I’ve spent the last 2 days updating every career, and mod that includes career tuning, and cross-referenced every resource to make sure nothing is missing. I’m just running a few tests, and I’ll get them posted for you guys. I’ve had a really bad migraine, so I’m not overdoing it right now.
You’ll only need to update them IF you are experiencing the bug with dropped careers. Some players report that other outdated mods are causing the issue too (with ANY custom career), so if you don’t have Royalty & Legacy, test without any other career related mods installed, bar the one you’re playing with.
Once that’s done, my new Travel Writer career will be released too!

PS. If you made it this far, spoiler alert; I finally had a breakthrough with python, and cracked something I’ve always wanted to do; a truly custom career that you can create yourself…in-game. Loosely based on the self employment feature EA added, this allows you to choose a job title for your sim, a career icon, shift pattern, pay and more. It’ll be a while in the making, as I just have the framework built and tested, but it’ll be so fun.
