This week, I mixed it up a bit by writing dialogue and coding. It's hard to report on that, so instead I figured I would show the episode's current progress in rough strokes. I made a similar graph a few months ago, and this is an updated version.
Most of the progress you see compared to last time is due to the completion of larger scenes and progress on the free roam event I worked on for several weeks. By the way, that free roam event has only a couple of scenes left before it's complete (phone content is needed as well), but most of the art is done.
From the graph above, of the remaining scenes, roughly 40% are for the main girl branches, 15% for the side girls, and 45% for the canon story.
Music/SFX work this time around is still very sparse, but one of these weeks, I will sit down and play the episode more and add songs and sound. I need to be in the right mindset for this.
Static renders progress is ~75%.
Posed animations progress ~84% (This is when counting animations in the render queue and the completed animations)
Completed animations progress ~59% (Which means that 25% of the expected total animations are in the render queue at the moment)
I cannot accurately estimate the dialogue progress, but it should be around the static render progress.
Overall progress 75%. I say this percentage with some hesitation, as it's scary to estimate this number when I feel like I have a lot left to do, but logically, it's around this.
Take these numbers with a grain of salt. If the episode grows bigger, the progress above will be slightly lower.
Yesterday I went back to posing renders and animating again, and that's likely what I'll do next week, too.
