Happy Friday!
The animation queue is down to 62 animations, and the render speed has been very good this week. I haven't counted the remaining frames or updated the ETA for the render queue, but there should be little to no change to last week's ETA based on what I saw this week.
I have played and polished the Others' branch and discovered many details/bugs/issues that I've worked to fix. I even had to fire up my old main PC to get some files to fix some issues.
I've also been working on things like the walkthrough DLC, Steam achievements, special art, updated music licenses, and QA testing of all animations to ensure the 4K conversions have truly worked.
I'm still going to test the others' branch some more next week, and I have a to-do list of polish activities I'm working on at the moment. That list includes notes like "this render has clipping", "you need another SFX here", "that dialogue reads weird", and "that mini-game isn't balanced enough".
I'm making sure I use the remaining time of the render queue to work as hard as possible on polishing, and I will get around to the missing SR sets one of these days, too.
Get your saves ready in time for the release
I like to remind every Patreon player that it's important where you save your game. There are more changes to the old code than usual in this release, which might cause a shift in where your save files load from. This shift can lead to crashes when you try to load your game.
As always, to be on the safe side, save your game at the end of the episode where the game asks you to save. This is the screen I'm talking about.
Go through all of your saves and save at these screens of any of the episodes - it doesn't have to be at the end of episode 11, it can be at the end of episode Interlude, 9, or 10.
While you could get lucky with saves in other places of the game, the end-of-episode save screens are the ONLY spots I guarantee your save file will work with the new update.
