Hello, cherished Patrons!
Been some time since the last one! Some new developments. I will be honest: since I got ill my pace slowed down quite a bit. Not only because of sickness (during which I still did my best to do some work) but also I've recently been pulled away from work due to upcoming deadlines in my 'day job'. Thus I'm unable to fully commit to my project. My work will be wrapped up by next week and then I'm back in business with Finding Cloud 9.
The thing with working on my project while also being preoccupied with a separate job is: yet again time. There seem to be some big changes coming my way in the near future and depending on how things work out I might be able to step back from my 'day job' and fully focus on Finding Cloud 9. That should be a great boost in every aspect. But, alas, that's a future still wrapped in fog. Fingers crossed all works out well :)
I can't give a clear release date just yet, however, it's slowly but surely coming. What I can give is a list of upcoming scenes. As usual, not revealing too much detail, but to give an insight :)
What you can expect in Episode 8:
Stepping back into the world of crime.
Building or burning bridges. Forging new ties in fun and exciting ways or breaking them.
A gun practice with a certain model.
Financial issues at home and the potential solutions.
A meeting with Chloe that turns out different than expected.
Personal reflection with Isabel.
A new job from a leader of a biker club.
And plenty more...
This entire project is a way of gaining experience as I go and I try to be critical of what I make. And I try to keep challenging my self narrative-wise. One thing that I don't like in some other media, and something I struggle with as well, is easy solutions. Convenience for the sake of plot. The story is fun if it's challenging for the main characters. I think that's difficult to perfect. So I'll keep trying to put myself in more and more challenging situations and try to come up with good and effective solutions that don't come off as convenient and cheap. That takes practice. All in the name of giving you as good of a story as I possibly can. So when you have some thoughts about the story or anything, feel free to share!
You guys are awesome!
