Been a month or so since the release of Episode 9.
A bunch has happened: I got sick, and I'm working longer on my other job. Things took longer than I expected. But that's done now. Been working on stuff on FC9 for a week now.
Anyway. A lot to unpack. I will do multiple progress updates in a frequent manner. Either another progress update this weekend or the beginning of next week. Right now, I will give you the general info, and then I will dive deep into each topic in upcoming updates, to keep things easily digestible for me and everyone else.
So:
Steam release/Steam Demo preparations. I'm currently going through Episode 1, changing several things, cutting a few, and adding some stuff (Most importantly, a lewd scene to showcase animations and general flow). I will get into it more in the next update.
I'm thinking of changing up a few things on Patreon. More specifically, the tiers. I don't plan on increasing the prices across the board, but I might reduce some and increase others slightly, and change up some benefits (or add entirely new tiers for more choice for you guys). I will talk about it more in-depth in a progress update after this one. Let's have an open discussion about this. Type your thoughts in the comments.
I'm going to change most of the music due to the Steam release. I already mentioned that the music service I used before doesn't support this kind of media (Adult content), and I'd like to apologize to anyone who had grown attached to some of the songs. I will try to make/find reasonable alternatives. When you hear the changed music, let me know what you think.
I will be slightly changing the narrative and the relationship dynamics for MC and his household due to strict Steam guidelines on taboo themes.
Steam demo will be first available to everyone who is a paid Patreon member before it's released for free on Patreon and on Steam. Steam demo will contain the reworked Episode 1. I intend to have this Steam-ready Episode 1 done by the end of this month/beginning of next month for you all to enjoy and give feedback.
After Steam Demo has been released to you guys, I will get to working on Episode 9 Part 2. I've had some feedback that the story is starting to drag, so I'm going to try to find a good balance of escalation and stop the slow-burn. It's Episode 9 after all :) I intend to have 3 or 4 lewd scenes in Episode 9 Part 2 and advance the story (No more filler, Part 1 didn't have much main story advancement). Also, I plan to make Part 2 shorter again. No more than 700 to 800 renders. So it's going to be a balancing act of up to 4 lewd scenes and regular scenes. Overall, the lewd scenes might get a bit shorter in terms of renders (the Relative amount of animations will stay the same), and the regular scenes as well. I will try to add less filler renders AND filler content and really try to focus on adding things that advance the story, both main story and LI stories.
So, this already got pretty lengthy, so I will stop here. Next update I will dive deeper into Steam Demo and related subjects. We will discuss the Lewd scene, the changes I've made, etc.
