What We’re Working On — [January 26 / Update 1]

As we mentioned in our earlier post we returned to work this morning after the break. Having already digested the feedback from our Christmas survey, we quickly agreed on what should be our immediate priorities. Read on to find out what these are .....

Plans can and do change — but this is where our focus is at the moment. A lot of it is quite 'big' so don't expect to see these things appear in-game immediately.

First up, we heard you loud and clear that you want us to continue working on Vehicles and Driving Feel. Ben has put together a plan which we’ll share in a separate post later today with our Point of Impact tier members and above for comment and input.

We also heard you wanted to see the new HUD come to fruition so Basia is now actively working on that. Look for updates next week but this is unlikely to appear in-game for a few weeks yet.

Another clear piece of feedback was the desire for a Crash mode - which also ties neatly into addressing some remaining physics issues. We’ve already picked back up the work we did in 2024 on Accident Blackspots. We hope to share some screens later this week.

It would be tempting to focus purely on smaller, short-term fixes, but we want to be ambitious. We also believe that getting this mode in place will help attract new players to the game.

Finally we also want to get the Early Supporter Livery created and the first round of Patreon members added to the Credits so that is also ongoing along with any other smaller fixes we can squeeze in.

We are well aware we also promised you 4 new cars - and you voted unanimously in favour of us also finishing the FDD Weld (70:30). We still hope that we can get these to you later in the month - but we have a bit of work to do to finish them and their associated gameplay and we need to balance that work against the other handling work which we think probably should take higher priority. We will update you on this soon.

We are just 8 people so there is a limit on what we can work on at any one time so bear with us if the thing you are really passionate about is missing from this list.
