DESCRIPTION

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts about my friend Ed from last week.

A few people have asked what's happening behind the scenes and whether we're still pushing forward. The answer is 100% yes! It's now June and we're still here. We have all of our team intact, and we're feeling positive about the future.

Alongside development, we've been pursuing funding opportunities, including grant applications, to help support future updates and new content. These things take time and there's never any guarantee of success, but we're exploring every avenue and we'll share news as soon as we have it.

In the meantime, Patreon continues to make a big difference. It helps us keep working on the game and keep supporting the community while we look at longer-term funding options.

So thank you. Whether you're a free or paying member it all helps more than you might think.

A quick update from us on what we've been up to this week.

Early Access Group

We've now invited 25 people to become part of our first Early Access Group.

Almost everyone has already signed their NDA and we're currently coordinating a first meeting. With people spread across multiple time zones, finding a slot that works for everyone is proving to be the biggest challenge, but we're hoping to get the first session underway this week.

The goal is simple: get regular feedback from a small group of players and use that to help shape development as we move forward.

If you'd like to be part of this group going forward, we've reopened entrance HERE.

No need to reapply if you've already applied.

This Week's Poll – Live Medals

We thought it would be fun to bring back some polls.

One thing we've been discussing internally is Live Medals.

We always liked the idea of giving players context for how they're performing compared to everyone else playing. However, we've also seen some confusion between Live Medals and the existing offline medal system.

One alternative we're considering is replacing Live Medals with a simple percentile ranking. For example:

Faster than 50% of players

Faster than 75% of players

Faster than 90% of players

Faster than 99% of players

The information is broadly the same, but it may be easier to understand at a glance and avoids having two different medal systems in the game. This would obviously be backed up by a leaderboard.

What do you think? Let us know in the poll and feel free to explain your thinking in the comments.

If we could only show one method, which would you choose, that would give you the clearest understanding of how your time compares to other players?
