"El Despertar" has a long version history and went through many transformations.
Today I’m sharing with you a version from somewhere in the middle of that road, "seasoned" by a recent literary experience. In that version, a lot of the "potential" had already been built, and a new shape was starting to take place.
"Solving" a piece of music is sometimes like solving a dream. You are the only one who came up with it and who knows the "correct" solution. Sometimes it’s not easy to resolve it, but you are the only one who can approve the solution, and maybe even the only one who can come up with it.
I’m sharing this thought and this piece of music with you today as I have almost finished reading one of the biggest literary adventures I’ve gone through, and I’m highly inspired by where I am now in it: Joseph and His Brothers by Thomas Mann. I highly recommend it, but it requires commitment. Maybe it has even subconsciously connected for me with what I shared with you today.
