One of the inspirations for Concurrent (aside from a vivid edible-enduced dream, ennui, political angst, and the never-ending existential crisis called living in America during late-stage capitalism) is my favorite Dr Seuss book from childhood.

Wacky Wednesday.

Aside from The Poky Little Puppy and The Best Nest, Wacky Wednesday was my favorite bedtime story. The first two oddities in Concurrent are a nod to this book - the wall and your missing shoes.
