Behind the real car is American racing driver Slade Stewart. The "Sparklefarts" design isn't a gag by Riley Motorsports itself, but Stewart's personal trademark. The original idea and the design featuring the glittering, farting unicorn actually came from his children.

Before switching to BMW for 2026, Stewart successfully raced the design for four years in the Lamborghini Super Trofeo North America (back then under the Flying Lizard Motorsports banner).
