I've been thinking about the high-tier rewards...
Lately, the sheer number of high-tier rewards I've been doing each month has been getting to be too much for me to handle, especially with commissions and Patreon comics to consider. I've been trying to think of another way to do it for a while now. I'm not sure I can keep doing this month after month, but I also don't want to disappoint any of my Patrons (more than I probably already have).
I've been discussing this on the Patreon Discord, and together, we may have come up with a compromise: we hold a raffle.
Here's how the idea works: each month, those in the Platinum Medal Tier send suggestions to me for what they want for their raffle reward. Then, once a deadline is reached (around the 15th of each month or so to give enough time to get ideas in), I put the names on a wheel and use that to select a winner. The winner of the raffle gets to have their idea turned into a fully-rendered pic for the month! If the winner of the raffle declines for the month, then I'll simply roll again to choose a different winner.
Now, for this to work, I may have to remove the member limit on the Platinum Medal Tier. I know, it sounds ironic after what I said at the beginning, but if I go forward with the raffle idea, then this will be to ensure that everyone who wants in gets a fair shot. For that same reason, I may also have to make it so that the same person wouldn't win twice in a row.
Just a few things to make clear: first, I'd be working with a three-character limit on monthly raffle ideas! Second, I'd be using similar rules to normal commissions, which means I won't take any ideas involving the following:
Underage characters (Must canonically be 18 years or older. This includes characters who physically appear underage)
Real people (Without their consent)
Hate art
Extreme/Hardcore NSFW
But yeah, that's the idea we've come up with on the Discord. What do you all think?
