DESCRIPTION
The main reason I made the station taller in SM2 was to allow grander furniture items, and I'm happy to say that I've got a good handle on the ones that will be included in this patch. There are ~20 new or remodeled furniture items in all (on top of the decor items from SM1, which are also being imported). Some highlights are:
- The throne, which is a significant improvement over the desk at six stories tall (it works because you can execute anyone who says you're overcompensating for something).
- The bunks, which let you make your quarters much more compact.
- All new apartments and hotels with multiple floors, all of which can accomidate multiple people instead of just one (except for the citizen palace, which still takes one wealthy citizen, but doesn't stuff them into a 1-bedroom apartment anymore).
- A more open-plan brothel, with couches, a new multi-story hovering platform, and a "pit" with one worker and up to six customers (Improved private rooms and arcade stations will still be available for those who prefer them).
At this point, all that's left is to finish the last couple models, set up the rest of the UI for the rules assistant, and line up the animations for the new furniture.
I really have to thank Stable Diffusion for supercharging this process. I know I talk about it a lot, but it's an incredible tool for exploring ideas.
