Chapter 9
Waking up the next day, Harry groaned as the sun shined through the window. He was tired and sore. Though he wasn’t going to complain about the events the night before, Harry did wish that Fleur wasn’t so demanding. At least she was understanding and taught him the ropes, so to speak. How she came to the thought that he was some sort of casanova, he would never know. But whoever spread those rumors about his body count, they were going to get hex. Or more likely pranked.
Rolling over, Harry saw the light shining and gleaming off of Fleur’s silver hair. It was hard to believe that she had been lust driven and wild for sex for as many rounds as they had gone through. Harry was glad it was only a few moments that she had used the Passion Fyre. Any longer and Harry wasn’t sure if he body could have handled the aftermath. But that all aside, they were now down a Horcrux. And that was something to be happy about.
Glancing back at Fleur, Harry could only sigh. Here was a woman that had given up everything, at least in Harry’s opinion, and was still willing to help him out. The last thing Harry wanted was to have dragged Fleur into this mess, and would have rather see her married back with Bill.
“ ‘Arry your worrying too ‘ard.” Fleur said, interrupting his thoughts. She had, at some point while Harry was thinking, woken up. Though she wasn’t going to say it outloud but Harry had a cute face when he worried.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Harry said in denial.
“Of course you don’t. You are only now married to me, and are constantly worrying about how me, ‘ermione, and Tonks are now bound to you until the end.” Fleur countered.
“Fleur. . .” Harry tried to say, but was silenced with a dainty finger placed over his lips.
“Monsieur Potter. I will have you know. That I, Fleir Delacour . . . no, that is not correct now is it, Fleur Potter, do not object to this union we have. You forget. The minister that said the vows, asked Mother Magick to pick the Union. And of all the people to choose from it picked you. Of course the Vow could have picked Bill and I would have been happy with that since he was the one I thought my heart desired, but Magick is apart of who I am, and apart of who you are. We might not yet know why Mother Magick partnered us together, but it did and there is no going against it. Only death will end this Vow. I hope you can understand and accept this.”
Harry listened to what Fleur said, and knew that she was right. But it still didn’t seem right to him. He didn’t know if it was because of how he found himself in this situation or if it was the fact he couldn’t really enjoy life until Voldemort was gone.
“I understand Fleur, I just wish you had a bit more say in the matter. Same with Tonks, and especially with Hermione. Merlin knows that girl has done more for me in all these years, than I can remember. Definitely deserves to find somebody to make her happy. I’m on a suicide mission in a way with know clue how to go forward. All I have are a few memories and a couple of hunches.” Harry said laying back into the pillow.
BANG!
“HOW DARE YOU, HARRY POTTER!” Harry jerked up in the bed. Hermione Granger had just kicked in the door and was charging toward him.
‘Oh shit’ was all Harry had time to think before the girl was standing before him, wand raised, looking very formidable.
“I will have you know, Mr. Potter, that yes you are right that even though I have spent nearly half my life keeping you out of trouble, I strongly believe you have done just as much for me as I have for you. Sure you’ve been an absolute berk about it at time, but you have been my true friend, and, even though Magick may have gotten you roped into a marriage with Fleur, I had every intention of making you mine. Do you understand me?” Hermione angrily lectured. Harry could tell he had set her off this time. The sparks of magic popping off in her bushy hair made her look down right scary. Sexy as well. But definitely scary.
“And another thing, Harry, before you say something strange like, ‘Oh Hermione, you could be off with your family in Australia.’ I will remind you that I am the very embodiment of what the pureblood bastards strive to prevent you think a trip to the Land Down Under is going to stop them?”
Harry was about to respond but was stopped with a wand to the face.
“Rhetorical question, Harry.” Hermione seethed. “Now you are going to get your head of your arse, Mr. Potter. You are going to accept that you are married to three stunning women. All of whom will gladly kick your arse.
“Here, here” The voice of Tonks could be heard from the door.
“You will get dressed and come downstairs so we can discuss what is going to happen next. And no, Fleur, you can not have another round with Harry. I want a turn later and Merlin knows Tonks needs the attention as well.”
With that a very red faced, Hermione put her wand away and stormed off, closing the door behind her.
“Wow.” Was all Harry could say. In the nearly 7 years that he had known Hermione, Harry had never heard her say anything like that to anyone. Let alone him.
“Harry.” Fleur spoke. “You don’t want her. I’m keeping her.”
That was all it took before Harry felt all the tension fade away and bust out laughing.
AN: Thoth here. Hope you all enjoyed the chapter.
